w6 afterparty

Now that they have all weathered that storm, it's time to do some recuperating! After storing some of the fruit (likely with Shizuku's help), Fai has decided to cut all of it up and lay it out in a neat little array on a table in the cafeteria. He liked the coffee and tea station last week, so he decides to set another one up for this week too. Fai has also set out some bread, butter, and a toaster—hopefully there's an outlet nearby—for people to make themselves some toast! They could all use a nice little (late) breakfast after all of that.
And if anyone wants to bring some of that crab and fish they caught? Well, the more the merrier!
Then, Fai sends out a quick text for everyone to come enjoy some fruit and coffee in the cafeteria.

Crab...
[ His hair is wet because he took his time to shower first. Too much sweating... it's hot... ]
Why the fuck is the sun still up. This orb shit keeps messing up my internal clock.

Sorry you couldn't sleep until noon. Want some coffee?
no subject
[ He's almost drooling, but none of the excitement is there with it of finally eating fresh food. ]

Do you want some of the crab meat? I bet you could prepare some.

Ah, I've really missed fresh food...

Which of these is the sweetest?

idia: can't relate]
P- Please rest up, M'lord Fai! Now that you've settled down, just ask this one if you need something grabbed!
... as long as it's not something too complicated.
no subject
[ That's so kind of Idia. Fai is honestly surprised that he'd get over his shyness enough to offer help... ]
no subject
... ... ... I- If it's just grabbing something, I can do it... what else could you possibly consider asking me...?

... Anyway. He can be found in the kitchen, cooking rice. They have a lot of fish, after all, and nothing else goes better with fish.
Afterward, he's in the cafeteria, partaking in some of the coffee Fai's made. As always, he's got a notebook that's not his usual one. It's also about full. Gentaro isn't opposed to conversation, of course, so...

Surely not.
Eventually, though, Owen decides to approach, leaning over Gentaro’s shoulder to stare at his notebook.]
What are you writing?
[totes casual]

Secrets, of course.
[ It's actually not untrue. Was Owen quick enough to see what he'd been writing? Did he see the top of the page, the words--Dear brother--written there? ]
What brings you here, Owen?

and then she's taking a bath. for mama's sake, since he was busy too, she tries to not take too long but oh god her legs, back and lungs...
but after that? after that, she's absolutely here for fruit and tea. oh my god. nestled as comfortably as she can, shizuku can be found slicing a mango and nibbling on some blueberries. ... if you look closely, one of the mangos has been cubed and has three blueberries- two large and one small- stuck in the front. it's... it's a hedgehog mango... and of course, she's also got some of the fish and crab to eat too, because god please it's just been junk food and noodles and breads for so long. )
I'm thinking of going to the pool later. That beach made me want to go swimming...

So Shizu-chan would totally pick the yellow hedgehogs for croquet... that's way cute and unexpected~
[Whether or not she actually would - or if that Alice In Wonderland bullshit statement makes any sense to her at all - he'll still sit next to her a moment later.]
Can you eat it with it looking way cute like that?
no subject
Hedgehogs for croquet...?
( but otherwise... )
Yes, though I do feel a tiiiiny bit bad.

[but, well, he's been locked in his room literally this whole week so at least cup noodles outside is progress]
M'lady Shizuku... y- your skin is going to be alright, right?
[Idia... obviously got a bit burnt. Yet, it also seems like someone in his life has already given him a go-over with lotion.]
no subject
( shizuku hadn't even thought of that... thankfully she had a light jacket, but... )
Ah, nothing that can't be helped, I'm sure. I hadn't been thinking of it... but I also spent a lot of time in the jungle. Thank you for worrying, though, Idia.

After that, though? He's actually leaving the shut-in life they've been living the past week to see what everyone else is doing with all the leftovers. The fruit is still a little on the too-sweet side for him, but the fish and crab is easy enough to throw together simply with some spices to make an actual decent meal, no matter how much his legs are screaming at him to just sit down and whine at someone else to cook for him.
(That might happen if he ends up wanting more later...)
After sinking into a chair, though-]
They totally could have given us this task earlier... We were running out of fresh food...
Closed to Idia:
[Later later, after the little afterparty started settling down, and after they've gone back to their room, the thought occurs to him that they should probably move the bed-barricade from in front of the door this week. They can still forgo the open-door policy if Idia wants, but... No one was going to come murder them, probably.
But with it there, there was an excuse to--
Hm...
So Idia might come back from wherever to see Cater has shoved the desks to the side of the room the bed originally came from and is now actually pushing the beds together. Might as well make a bigger bed, right...?]
no subject
[Once he's eaten and spent some time with a few of the people he cares about, he's back to the room and-]
... eh?
[this is like coming back and seeing that your fling is looking at wedding pamphlets]
no subject
He isn't expecting Idia to come back mid-bedquest, but... he shouldn't be all that surprised. It's just his luck.]
...Eh?
[Yeah, no explanation.]
