Now that they have all weathered that storm, it's time to do some recuperating! After storing some of the fruit (likely with Shizuku's help), Fai has decided to cut all of it up and lay it out in a neat little array on a table in the cafeteria. He liked the coffee and tea station last week, so he decides to set another one up for this week too. Fai has also set out some bread, butter, and a toaster—hopefully there's an outlet nearby—for people to make themselves some toast! They could all use a nice little (late) breakfast after all of that.

And if anyone wants to bring some of that crab and fish they caught? Well, the more the merrier!

Then, Fai sends out a quick text for everyone to come enjoy some fruit and coffee in the cafeteria.

[ Hien... always so tired. Fai walks up to him and holds a berry to his lips. ]

Sorry you couldn't sleep until noon. Want some coffee?

[ Fai is sticking around to get people plates of fruit or make them coffee. Currently, he's in the middle of making a batch of fresh coffee. ]

Anything you'd like for me to grab for you?

[ But eventually, he settles down in one of the chairs to enjoy some of the fruit himself. ]

Ah, I've really missed fresh food...

Yeah. And a whole bunch of crab meat.

[ He's almost drooling, but none of the excitement is there with it of finally eating fresh food. ]

[ As far as the lessons have gone, this... wasn't actually a terrible one. And it had been their final lesson, which puts him somewhat at ease. He's not about to let his guard down, though; he gets the feeling that now that their lessons are done, something bigger is on the horizon. Maybe it's just because he's read many books, or he tends to overthink things entirely too much.

... Anyway. He can be found in the kitchen, cooking rice. They have a lot of fish, after all, and nothing else goes better with fish.

Afterward, he's in the cafeteria, partaking in some of the coffee Fai's made. As always, he's got a notebook that's not his usual one. It's also about full. Gentaro isn't opposed to conversation, of course, so...

[ He reaches out to grab another berry and feed it to Hien. ]

Do you want some of the crab meat? I bet you could prepare some.

Yeah, but you really want me working more?

( before anything, shizuku is mostly racing to store the food. that's a lot of seafood after all, and she doesn't want to waste much at all! even if she's not sure how long they'll be here...

and then she's taking a bath. for mama's sake, since he was busy too, she tries to not take too long but oh god her legs, back and lungs...

but after that? after that, she's absolutely here for fruit and tea. oh my god. nestled as comfortably as she can, shizuku can be found slicing a mango and nibbling on some blueberries. ... if you look closely, one of the mangos has been cubed and has three blueberries- two large and one small- stuck in the front. it's... it's a hedgehog mango... and of course, she's also got some of the fish and crab to eat too, because god please it's just been junk food and noodles and breads for so long. )

I'm thinking of going to the pool later. That beach made me want to go swimming...

[ He pats Hien's hair. ]

Hien gestures to the cafeteria table seats. If Fai really wants that—no, wait. ]

[ Because he will. He's grabbing another berry. ]

[ Fai kisses the top of his wet head. He doesn't really care if other people see that. ]

Alright, alright. I'll get you some coffee. [ ... ] I've never cooked crab meat before, but I can try.

[ And he gets up to start working on that coffee. ]

Do you have your tablet with you? I didn't bring mine... I can look up a video for you if you wanna get a general idea.

[ He texted everyone, so thankfully he has it. Fai picks it up off a nearby table and hands it over to Hien along with some coffee. ]

[ Hien takes the tablet and coffee, browsing through Estelltube on simple crab recipes and how to prepare then. After skimming through a video, he reminds it and hands it over. ]

[ He watches it a couple of times before nodding to himself. ]

Alright. I'll be back.

[ He disappears into the kitchen for a while, finally coming back out with some cooked crab meat, seasoned with whatever he can find in there. ]

[ Although the smile on his face is unsure, it's pretty good for a first attempt. ]

[ That said, he sits up and eats some of the crab meat. ]

Hm. Yeah. I won't take my words back. It's good stuff.

[ He sits down in the seat next to Hien. Part of him feels... embarrassed. He still can't get over how easily Hien compliments him, even over simple things. ]
