Now that they have all weathered that storm, it's time to do some recuperating! After storing some of the fruit (likely with Shizuku's help), Fai has decided to cut all of it up and lay it out in a neat little array on a table in the cafeteria. He liked the coffee and tea station last week, so he decides to set another one up for this week too. Fai has also set out some bread, butter, and a toaster—hopefully there's an outlet nearby—for people to make themselves some toast! They could all use a nice little (late) breakfast after all of that.

And if anyone wants to bring some of that crab and fish they caught? Well, the more the merrier!

Then, Fai sends out a quick text for everyone to come enjoy some fruit and coffee in the cafeteria.

[ He texted everyone, so thankfully he has it. Fai picks it up off a nearby table and hands it over to Hien along with some coffee. ]

[ Hien takes the tablet and coffee, browsing through Estelltube on simple crab recipes and how to prepare then. After skimming through a video, he reminds it and hands it over. ]

[ He watches it a couple of times before nodding to himself. ]

Alright. I'll be back.

[ He disappears into the kitchen for a while, finally coming back out with some cooked crab meat, seasoned with whatever he can find in there. ]

[ Although the smile on his face is unsure, it's pretty good for a first attempt. ]

[ That said, he sits up and eats some of the crab meat. ]

[ He sits down in the seat next to Hien. Part of him feels... embarrassed. He still can't get over how easily Hien compliments him, even over simple things. ]

[ He thinks Fai could have taste tested it, but he still wants to feed him some, so he holds out a forkful. ]

[ He opens his mouth. ]

[ Fai has never had crab before, so hopefully it's good... ]

[ He gently feeds Fai. How's the taste of crab, Fai? Can you feel it now? ]

[ He doesn't know if he really likes it, but it's fine?? ]

Maybe crab meat isn't your thing.

[ Hm. Well, Hien likes it. That's what matters. ]

Thanks for cooking it for me, even though you must be tired too.

[ He gives Fai a quick kiss on the cheek. ]

I am a little tired, but... I know you're even more so. You worked really hard.

[ He's not taking any other answer. ]

[ He smiles at Hien, a hint of a smirk pulling at his lips. ]

Want to cuddle? Will that help you rest?

Yeah.

[ Withiut hesitation. Of course he wants to cuddle. He's a cuddlebug.

But right now, he wants to eat so he keeps eating. ]

Do we have any candles left?

Mm, one. I’ll let you light it so you can sleep well.

[ It’s a sacrifice he’s willing to make!! ]

Of course I’ll sleep with you, silly. I’m always going to.

[ Unless they can’t leave together, but he just won’t think about that right now. ]

[ Hien isn't particularly worried about what Fai is thinking, so he seems pretty satisfied. ]

I want the candle to work for you too, that's why.

[ He smiles a little, reaching out to put a hand on Hien’s knee. ]

To tell you the truth, just sleeping with you helps me a lot.

[ Hien looks at the hand on his knee. Will that hand go up? What... what is happening here?? ]

... I'm glad it does. Maybe we can stop buying candles then.

[ Hien doesn't give two shits about nightmares anyway. He wakes up all the same. ]

Maybe. But I might buy one or two more anyway. I like how they smell.

[ He lightly circles his thumb on Hien’s knee, but otherwise his hand stays put. ]

[ Look. He's not used to people just. Touching his knee like that. It's weird to him. ]

You like scented candles? I think you'll like fresh linen scent too.

[ At least Fai can be trusted not to put his hand up too high right in front of everyone's fruit salad... ]

I do like that smell. I like anything fresh.

[ He tilts his head slightly. ]

Fresh linen scent from candles are the best kind. It's not overwhelming, and it smells nice to the point it almost feels nostalgic.

[ Hien doesn't really enjoy nostalgia that are usually tacked with emotions though. ]

As if... I'm back to a time when grades were the worst thing I had on my mind.
