Now that they have all weathered that storm, it's time to do some recuperating! After storing some of the fruit (likely with Shizuku's help), Fai has decided to cut all of it up and lay it out in a neat little array on a table in the cafeteria. He liked the coffee and tea station last week, so he decides to set another one up for this week too. Fai has also set out some bread, butter, and a toaster—hopefully there's an outlet nearby—for people to make themselves some toast! They could all use a nice little (late) breakfast after all of that.

And if anyone wants to bring some of that crab and fish they caught? Well, the more the merrier!

Then, Fai sends out a quick text for everyone to come enjoy some fruit and coffee in the cafeteria.

So I wonder how well you really will be able to handle it when Hien's gone. That's why it's pathetic.

[ He looks at Owen for a long moment, his gaze quietly assessing him. ]

Hien and I can both travel to different worlds with our own magic. If fate should have it, we would find one another eventually. It isn't as if we would have no possible way of finding one another again.

[ Even though Fai is pretty sure he's gonna die, but it's fine. ]

Who's to say we couldn't leave together when all is said and done here? If we get our powers back before we leave, anything could happen.

Even if that's the case... how can you guarantee the worlds you can visit will ever intersect? Ever? It's not a guarantee, so why bother even trying?

[Travelling worlds is a tricky thing - Owen admittedly doesn't know much about how the Sage gets summoned and the magic behind that, but he's seen several come and go over the centuries. It's all so unpredictable, but...

It really can't be possible for everything to be so neatly connected. Life isn't so convenient.]

Hm... I suppose the easiest way to put it was that... I thought it was worth trying, even if things end up being doomed in the end.

[ Relationships don't always last, and there's no telling how they'll all leave this world either, but... ]

I care enough about Hien that I want to be with him while I can.
