3.0 - week three

WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

Fai stands there for a moment before going to find a tank top. He compromised with a gray one that has an abstract brightly colored paint pattern all over it.

He hands it over. ]

[ He takes a look at it, then at Fai, and retreats into the fitting room. It doesn't take long for him to come out this time either. He's wearing the same pants though.

His hair looks brushed back. ]

Give him a second to recover. He manages to bring a smile back on his face in a split second, acting like he didn’t just have a moment. ]

... You sure? You looked stunned for a second.

Fai admitting that makes Hien self-conscious a little, but it's not an overwhelming feeling. It's fine. ]

[ He looks down at the clothes he's wearing. ]

Yeah. Is that a bad thing?

[ It’s fine if Hien doesn’t like it at all, honestly. Fai gets to see him in it anyway, so he’s still winning. ]

No. I didn't think anyone would like this sort of look...

[ There's something for everyone, is what he concludes. ]

I shouldn't distract you with this though. It's dangerous for you.

[ He reaches out to pinch Hien in the side. ]

Go pick out what you wanted me to try.

[ He retreats into the fitting room, changes back to his regular clothes, gives Fai the clothes he wore and well, if Fai decides to stay in the fitting room and ponder over the clothes, Hien comes back quickly.

It's a very big hoodie in a beige color and a pair of black leggings. ]

[ Fai stares at what Hien hands him. It’s much simpler than he expected. Then again… what did he even expect?? ]

[ It takes him longer than Hien to change, especially as he takes time to look at himself in the mirror.

He does eventually come out of the fitting room, though. ]

[ Hien stares at Fai when he comes out of the fitting room and--wow. Just wow. He was sitting on a bench seat and his elbows on his knees and he puts his face into his hands.

He's so cute............................. ]

[ He says with his face still in his hands. ]

[ Well. That wasn’t the reaction he was expecting.

Fai walks over and crouches down in front of Hien. ]

[ How he wishes it was winter instead of summer right now. ]

On second that, wearing that hoodie might get hot, so we don't have to get that.

But the leggings?

[ Judging from Hien’s reaction, Fai assumes he’ll want Fai to get these… ]

You can pick something else out for me to wear with it.

Like what? Shorts?

[ ...

He walks out to get them. brb. ]

I meant a shirt, but…

[ He’ll wear shorts. He doesn’t really care. ]

[ Instead of a big hoodie, he brought an oversized shirt this time. Hien has simple tastes and preferences...

Shorts are there too, but this is more important right now. ]

[ It has a yellow bird desihn on it, resting on a tree branch and singing. ]

[ It’s a cute shirt, so Fai is more than happy to grab that along with the shorts. He retreats into the fitting room, coming out a couple minutes later. He has the shirt tucked in in the front, letting it hang out over the shorts on the side. ]

This is pretty cute too. You have a good eye, Hien.

You don't have to tuck this in... the shorts go with a more appropriate sized shirt for you.

[ Which he forgot to bring.

He walks over to Fai and tries to untuck it. ]

[ Fai looks down, watching Hien untuck his shirt. ]

[ Hien looks up at Fai after he pulls the shirt out of the shorts. ]

What? If you got something to say, then say it.

[ Fine, he’ll say it. ]

It’s as if you have an image in mind of exactly how you want me to look.

Yeah...? If I didn't, I wouldn't have picked these out for you.

[ Hien doesn't get what Fai talking about. ]

Hmm… how did you say it? Aren’t you worried about getting too distracted if I wear this?
