3.0 - week three
WEEK THREE
Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional
toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…
But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.
There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.
As always, Florence and Lorelei are available.
SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY
TASK LIST
( OOC Note: Luci, Mutsu, and Mae will each receive a small roomba! Congrats on the successful egg drop. It's a tiny little friend that cleans extra well, though this also means its trash compartment is a little smaller so it'll need to be cleaned more often. )

Ask for Chongyun, Professional Exorcist
From NOW until THE SUN SETS
Free
Chongyun will be eagerly waiting for any and all clients. As a bonus, his roommate Xingqiu might pop in to offer his own feedback. Also free, probably.
In the early evening, there's a note slipped under Room #15 for Owen, with a very sincere apology for the delay to their Ice Bath Challenge and a request to meet next Monday in his room. Wearing only the shirt on his back. (Shorts optional.) There's also a reminder to train hard. It's signed with his name.
Speaking of training hard, that's what Chongyun plans to do immediately after he closes shop(?) and delivers the note. He makes several trips back and forth from the convenience store to his room, carrying hefty bags of ice. Thankfully, he's only a couple of doors away from the store, so it's not too much of a hassle. If he spots anyone during his trips, he'll stop for some quick small talk. Emphasis on quick! Ice melts here!
After what is probably the tamest ice bath he's ever had (Hmm... He only yelped twice... He'll have to increase the amount of ice tomorrow... ), he'll go around knocking on every door in the dorm and, should the door open, introduce himself and ask the same question: ]
Hello. My name is Chongyun, and I'd like to offer you my services. Have you been in need of any help recently?
[ He's just... a little antsy without any commissions to do. ]

Room #14
Just at the moment he's surfaced a bit from the writing mania of like, the past three? Four?? Days and is humming quietly to himself as he moseys through the hallway, steps swaying to and fro like a man dancing or perhaps a little drunk. He is not drunk; but he has in his hand a large bottle of Calspi of unspeakable color. Hm.
I'm also going to assume the door is open for consultation--]
Exorcismmmm... consultations. Ah, how convenient in this day and age; though I'd say this past weekend has made us all into exorcists of some caliber, whether we wanted to be or not. Perhaps-- [glancing in at Chongyun and raising his eyebrows, he recognizes this kid] --exorcism lessons would be helpful? There is only one of you, after all.
[Yawning a little, he takes a swig of his ungodly concoction and raises his eyebrows like that was a serious suggestion.]

I like him. He's kind, but you can tell he's thoroughly wise.
[ Chongyun doesn't react much to Xingqiu touching his hair; he just lets it happen like it's a common occurrence. ]

she spends the morning slowly working her way through the museum displays, idly admiring everything. it's a little hard for her to focus though... but the lighting is good and very appreciated, all things considered.
in the gift shop she pauses to coo over different stuffed animals, hums thoughtfully at art replicas... but, hmmm... nothing's really calling out to her at the moment? maybe some company might change that.
and then, of course, is the clothing shop. thank goodness- not that she minded casual, college clothing but. she was a model, honestly! and sporty college kid things aren't her cup of tea! this is probably where she spends the most time, searching through racks and shelves alike for different things that catch her eye. there's quite a bit of pleasant cool colors alongside white there. )

Well, he doesn't feel all that much better today than he has the rest of the week, so that's barely an excuse.
Anyway. With a sizeable university-branded duffel bag slung over a shoulder, and cozy pain-killing sweater on (and off, and back on again every thirty minutes or so...), he sets off for the newly opened Clothing Store.
To anyone watching, it's pretty obvious from the onset that he knows what he likes - and is spending most of his time filling up the duffel bag with clothes that are fashion-forward, but also look comfortable and at least some degree of practical - both for himself and for Idia, since he assumes the latter will be near impossible to drag out here. (Gallery for Reference)
And, well, if you hear ominous whispers in the air insisting that he's out here alone because no one would have wanted to come with him if he asked anyway? Then no you don't. Pay no mind to the uncharacteristically serious expression on his face to said nonexistent whispers, either. It's fine. It's no big deal.
Later, with his bag sufficiently filled with clothing and essentials, he takes a peek into the Museum Gift Shop. There's no way he wants to venture into the museum proper so soon just yet, but... the gift shop is fair game. As expected it's filled with way too much random paraphenalia, but he does grab a museum-branded tote and one each of these little models (as a peace offering for Idia, for going clothes shopping for him...), if nothing else!
One last stop before returning to the dorms - this one isn't a new one, no, but it's still worth swinging by the Cosmetics Shop for all-important self-care essentials. And, with the new museum tote in hand, there's plenty more room for carrying things. Shampoo, skincare, and makeup all make their way into the bag... which is then topped off with just so many sheet masks. By the time he made it there, though - and especially by the time he's heading back to the dorms - he's definitely looking the worse for wear, simultaneously pale and flushed, and looking exhausted. Someone overdid it, after Saturday, it would seem.]

[So, you remember that totally-not-broken alarm clock -- multiple of which are probably bopping around the mystery gacha, and at least one of which has landed at the tender mercies of Team #7??
Well, somebody seems to have grown a real interest in the camera function, or the messaging function, or just has way too much time on his hands and the alarm clock is loud as hell if you forget to turn it off.
Luckily for you, this isn't video, but it sure is going to ping literally everyone early enough in the morning to be offensive, four times in succession. It's just extremely blurry pictures of the stupid clock from various angles and in various positions. Honestly, looks like somebody is doing one of those stop-motion videos, but unintentionally.]
02. ¿¿COMO SE LLAMA ESTE ANIMAL?? (Network)
[This one is actually extremely late at night when everyone should be abed. Like, fucking Jim Shrok sleep crime hours, because apparently there's no such thing as keeping proper sleeping hours this week for this guy.]

[Yeah that's also like 10 messages instead of the one it could have been. But hey, he figured out messaging. Sort of. Kind of. Ish.]
03. Introducing the Inkredibly Inkonstant Hijinks of Your Local Writer-Man (Places That Are Not Network)
[Tamamori has been scarce on the ground this week, and if you do happen to spot him it's a little like spotting one of the museum dinosaurs outdoors -- click-clacky like something ancient, more slovenly than usual, probably half-dressed (well, the dinosaurs aren't dressed at all, but they could be) and muttering continuously to himself.
Also ink-stained, but if you spot ink stains on any of the museum exhibits t'wasn't him. Absolutely not.
He's making great use of that new bag now, though, so he's actually getting a little bit more fresh air; at one point he's seen zipping between the convenience store and gift shop and who-knows-where, several bottles of not-quite-Calspi being stuffed into his bag. Occasionally he also drops random loot like pieces of notebook paper and sundry pens, but the real coup-de-grace comes at the karaoke bar, which he's apparently taken to visiting more often.
He has just a pile of the soft drink bottles and is basically sprawled across the bar looking like a chemist working with dangerous chemicals with all his concentration and his tongue sticking out -- but actually he's just carefully pouring multiple bottles into an empty one.]
Hm, hmhmm, if I try plain and strawberry together... Ah, but carbonated strawberry would be a little too much, wouldn't it... banana... is there melon......
[Is he planning to drink all that. The real question is how much has he already drunk. Thanks, Shizuku, you reminded him he needed to get his ass on this disastrous plan.
Later on you can find him ensconced somewhere in the museum, just about anywhere in the museum (next to an exhibit, half-hidden under one of the dinosaurs, tucked away in the gift shop, wherever) scribbling away furiously at a notebook and only occasionally glancing at the exhibits -- it seems he's way more focused on his own art than on the art on display, though! That said, if he happens to notice you, he'll squint at you like you're an exhibit come to life and then point his pen imperiously.]
You! Since you're here interrupting me anyways, go stand over there! Look lively!
[......... He's definitely probably not drawing portraits or anything, but it seems he wants you to strike a pose or somehow interact with the exhibits anyways. What do you do??]

I see everyone received a special gift this morning (not those atrocious alarm clock messages). I hope you can all put it to good use and enjoy its sleek and intuitive design. 💖
[ at some point later he's going to be in the library with some health textbooks, taking lots of notes in a notebook and periodically holding his tablet up to the pages for a translation.
in the evening, he's having drinks at the karaoke bar like almost every other evening, though he's looking a little more casual than usual in one of the new things he grabbed from the clothing store the other day. ]

[ ...and at night he comes back and opens the door to room 4 with a strange feeling of dread at the idea that he might be coming back to an empty room... just like every other time he's opened that door since they got back from that mess of a field trip last week. ]
