WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

Yes! Although I’ve traveled all over, I only have a handful of people I can trust this wholeheartedly. Admittedly my experience with friendship is more limited than some…

[ When did Hien become sir? But it just felt right in this moment.

He nods in agreement when Hien calls Xingqiu a brat, even as his head is being ruffled. Chongyun of all people knows what a gremlin his friend is. ]

[ The ultimate betrayal...okay, no Xingqiu is just amused, not offended at all. ]

[ He also seems to accept the hair ruffles just fine, with that playful smile still on his face. ]

[ He turns to Xingqiu and, upon seeing a dark blue tuft of flyaway from all the ruffling, automatically raises his hand to fix it. It’s no more than a brief moment, a blink and he’s already pulling back. He waits for the other boy to say his goodbyes before they both leave. ]

[ Whatever will he do to recover his hair style after this, smh. ]

He's quite an interesting fellow, isn't he?

[ ...Which is answered easy enough when Chongyun reaches to fix an errant tuft of hair, eliciting another kind of smile on his face. In a blink it and miss it, he will return what appears to be the very same, but it may be that there are no errant strands of hair where Chongyun is concerned, considering his hair style.

And maybe it is just an excuse to touch his hair briefly and playfully in that small moment of time. ]

[ Hien watches them go. Why are the kids so cute... he's especially endeared to them as a pair because they look like really good friends—the kind of friend that Chongyun wanted. He's happy for him.
