3.0 - week three

WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

[ Fine. This omurice is all his then. He takes another bite of it as he stares at Fai the whole time.

But then he sees Fai pulling out grapes and he tries not to snicker. ]

Guess you're the grape lord this week.

Good thing I like grapes!

[ Maybe he can come up with a recipe for them or something. Hm...

For now, he plucks one of the grapes off the stem and lobs it at Hien's head. ]

[ Hien opens his mouth and catches the grape inside. ]

[ He takes another bite of omurice and opens another box. ]

Shiny...

[ He gets out a raven insignia. ]

[ He'd be kind of mad that Hien caught it if it wasn't so cute...

Fai glances over at the insignia. ]

Ooh, no kidding.

[ He pulls out the revealing idol outfit of another box. ]

...I wonder who this belongs to.

[ Hien squints at the outfit. He had Shizuku guess the owner of the outfit he had a while back, so going off of that, he can only think of one person.

But he doesn't want it to be that person.

That's why he hesitates. ]

... Riku, probably.

...I really can't imagine him in something like this.

[ It feels so... opposite to what he thinks of Riku. ]

I know, I know.

[ big fuckin same, bro ]

But it's red. Outfits have to be marked with unique colors that is set for the idol, and Riku's is most likely red.

Red would suit him.

[ Mostly because of his hair...

Fai starts to neatly fold the outfit so he can set it on his bed. ]

I'll set that aside just for him.

[ Hien takes another bite of the omurice and digs for more, pulling out a bottle. ]

... This looks like the kind of bottle you put messages in and throw it into the ocean. Maybe it's a container for all these grapes?

[ It looks so generic. ]

[ Fai looks at it, then looks at his grapes. ]

It looks... old. Sort of like the things I had in Celes.

It looks like a regular cork bottle. I think the only use cork bottles get are for storing wine and having model ships inside them in worlds that have similar technologies like Estelline.

[ He looks at Fai. ]

What did you do with the bottle?

I stored potions and ingredients for potions!

[ He had a bunch of little bottles... ]

Oh, right.

[ He completely forgot about that utility. Sorry he's truly a modern day boy. ]

I bet you had a bunch of them.

[ He sets aside the bottle and opens up another box. ]

I did. I was real big on creating new potions and whatnot. It's the reason why cooking comes so naturally to me.

[ Combining ingredients is just like making potions to him.

Fai pulls out a door sign that says "I'm already disturbed, please come in". ]

I think this suits you.

[ Oh. That.

Hien goes to his own closet and pulls out the same thing to show Fai. ]

Apparently, the package givers think so too. I got this in the first box they gave me.

So that means we definitely need to put one of them on our door!

[ He laughs, setting the sign aside so he can do that later.

Fai opens up another package, pulling out... an entire lance. ]

Wow, this is big!

[ Hien whistles. That sure is a big lance. ]

Do you think you can handle something like that?

[partymagician]

Are you calling me weak?

[ He points the lance at Hien, but it's obvious he's not going to do anything dangerous with the way he smiles. ]

Yeah, you stick.

[ He knows Fai is strong, but he's just saying that just to spite him. Hien just stares at the lance evenly. ]

Hmph!

[ Fai tosses it up a couple of feet before catching it with his other hand and setting it on his bed. ]

That just means you can carry anything heavy for me.

Carry it yourself.

[ Hien will help Fai carry things because he's whipped. ]

Who do you think the lance belongs to? I feel like it could be Marcus's... either that or an ax or hammer.

[ He's too buff. ]

No clue! I'm sure there are people here hiding some immense strength.

[ Like Fai. ]

Marcus is a pretty big guy, though, so it could be him. Or Ace or Sabo.

[ Now he's just naming big guys... ]

Ace doesn't look like a lance-user. For Sabo... maybe a gun. He's kinda stylish like that. I can't see spice man being a lance-user either, only because he just seems like... the type to fuck around just because. You can't really do that with a lance of this design.

Let's put a notice out for it so we can find the owner.

[ He feels like it could be anyone's, especially if they try to come up with reasons why it could and couldn't be a certain person. ]

Yeah, that'll work.

[ People are pretty attached to their weapons, after all. He tries to imagine if his bundle of wires were here. He'd absolutely want that back, but mostly because it isn't really his in the first place. ]
