3.0 - week three

WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

[ Hien's eyes are obvious where they are: Fai's legs. They're stuck there until Hien eventually looks up at Fai. ]

I hope you'll wear it like this in the room at least. I won't ask you wear it outside.

[ Fai has half a mind to tell Hien his eyes are a little further up than his legs… but he doesn’t mind.

That request, though. Wow. ]

You want me to wear this in our room? Just because?

Well, I'm not gonna ask you to wear this kind of thing outside. And if you're not gonna wear it outside, you wear it inside.

[ Perfect logic to him. ]

... Did you think you'd have to wear it every single time you're in the room? That's silly.

[ Hien… ]

So you only want me to wear it occasionally so you can ogle at me.

[ Got it. ]

[ Hien flounces out of the fitting room. He's going to use this time to look at more clothes. Not with Fai!! Hmph!! ]

[ Fai lets Hien be for a minute or two before coming up behind him. He doesn’t try to conceal his steps so that his presence is known as he leans over Hien’s shoulder. ]

I didn’t say I minded.

Yeah, yeah.

[ Hien continues to a little huffy as he holds out a big gray t-shirt. This is his now. ]

You shouldn't say those things in public.

You said Marcus could watch us do certain things.

[ That’s all. ]

... It's easy to say things if you don't mean them.

[ He's not into people watching, tyvm. He refuses to face Fai while saying that though. ]

How much of what you say do you actually mean?

[ Is this why Hien doesn’t compliment him?? ]

Don't think so deeply into it. I was only saying it to tease Marcus. I mostly say what I mean... I'd like to think I'm straightforward.

[ Most of the time, anyway. ]

Am I not fun to tease?

[ He knows the answer is no, but he wants to ask to bother Hien anyway. ]

You don't really react the way I want you to, so, not really.

[ Not to mention some of it gets backfired real badly. ]

So you like people who react like Marcus?

[ It's a real shame Fai would never react like him, though. ]

Or do you just like any reaction?

As long as it's a fun reaction to see.

[ He's not very picky. Hien plucks a very large and thin hoodie for himself in gray. It looks really comfortable to hide in. ]

A fun one, huh? What would be fun to see from me?

At this point, I might have to be mean to bring it out of you.

[ No, he will not elaborate. ]

Are you gonna get anything else?

Yep!

[ He's been subtly picking out things during their conversation. In his arms are a few graphic tees, skinny jeans, tank tops, and slightly cropped shirts. ]

So, tell me how mean you'll be.

[ Hien frowns a little, pulls Fai close and whispers into his ear.

After that, he speeds out of the clothes store. BYE. ]

[ Wow, Hien, you're going to make him blush! Before Fai can even say that, Hien has bolted.

He laughs as he folds up all of his clothes and puts them into his backpack.

And he snags a few things he thinks Hien might like too before changing back into his original clothes and heading back out to find him. ]

Hien? Come out, come out wherever you are~

[ Hien looks at Fai, peering from the corner of the museum. ]

I'm right here.

[ Hmph. ]

[ Fai sets his backpack, now heavy with clothes, at the front of the museum. There's no one around to disturb it, so he might as well. ]

I picked out a few more things for you. Nothing adventurous.

... I have a feeling they might be.

[ Hien isn't new to fashion and wearing hip and trendy clothes or whatever, but he vastly prefers the comfort of the college hobo style. ]

Are we going in there too?

There are t-shirts and hoodies in there, I promise.

He nods. ]
