02 - week two
WEEK TWO
When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.
Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.
Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.
Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.
Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.
Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.
SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY

He spends the better part of his morning in the stationery store, poring over everything they have to offer once again. And while he's there, he decides that he might as well do a little investigating too.
Then, later on in the day, Fai spends a good amount of time in the bakery, mainly because he's baking a small batch of chocolate chip cookies. He couldn't resist seeing all of those ingredients there, so while he does try to be conservative in what he uses, he still gives in and makes something. The smell of the cookies is immediately noticeable to anyone who walks in, and they'll also see Fai with the cookies on the counter, letting them cool off. ]
Want to try one?
closed to hien;
[ Fai is leaving the mall with said batch of cookies when he spots Hien making his way through the parking lot. He immediately freezes in place for a second before turning tail and running back inside.
Bye! ]
no subject
He's so glad that Fai's hair really stands out in a place like this, so he spots him immediately and chases. ]

Is there anything he's looking at in particular?]

There’s a copy of the store’s schedule, but it only shows shifts up to three weeks ago. There’s a few notes on the schedule, noting some of the staff as no call, no show. Asides from that there’s not much else to note!
Is he going to keep looking around the registers?]

bakery i'm sorry
[ and spits it out because. ]
Ow! Hot!
never be sorry
Hey, you need to let it cool off a little first. Blow on it, that might help.

but anyway once the cookie has cooled down Enough for him to try popping it back into his mouth with no consequences--
well ok he may have knocked something over the countertop while trying to get the cookie but he is Ignoring it right now: ]
... Tastes better than the ones from the convenience store.
[ you know, the ones in the tiny packets? this also means he's grabbing another cookie. whoops. ]
no subject
Hmmm? I would hope so! I made them myself.
[ And anything homemade is usually better than store bought. ]
bakery
There is, however, also a 100 percent chance of cookie. ]
Sure. How lucky that you get to indulge in your hobby now.
no subject
I am pretty lucky, aren't I? I was surprised to see that the ingredients here were still good.
no subject
[ It is time to monch cookie. ]
Hm!
[ That's a positive reaction and she'll (for once in her life) finish chewing before talking more. ]
Still a tiny bit sweet for my stunted tastebuds, but that actually tasted good to me.
no subject
I’ll take that compliment.
[ It’s always a win for people who don’t like sweets to enjoy his baking. ]
It’s quite strange, isn’t it? I’ve never been in a newly abandoned place before.
[ Well. Not a place where he can’t see any immediate aftermath of what happened. ]

bakery;
One of the places he has been popping in to was the bakery.
When he sees Fai there his eyes narrow, but the temptation of cookies is too strong.]
What if they're terrible?
[He says, already picking on up.]
no subject
They won't be.
[ And it's true—they're really good. The consistency is nice and the chocolate chips are well dispersed. ]
no subject
You're partnered with the man with a voice that sounds like spirits luring people do their death, aren't you?
[He means Hien. Obviously.
He also doesn't know what "static" is, but that wouldn't have changed his description.]

I am, yes. What about him?
