WEEK SIX

Sunday starts with more aches and pains than you might be used to. Florence patched people up after Saturday’s lesson, sure, but it’s not a complete cure - not to mention it doesn’t ease the sting of betrayal. Some classmates that you thought would cooperate wound up breaking your trust in the end, and this week will be interesting with the fallout.

It’s hard to say what this week will have in store otherwise. Things are changing, and it’s not clear what this means for all of you. On the bright side, however, the creatures and places you once knew from home have suddenly disappeared, so that's less that you need to worry about. There are new areas for you to look at as well.

The name registers and the layout changes to match the brand of the company itself. There are buttons on the left: Staff Assignments and a Card Dashboard are probably the two most relevant to you. ]

Oh, I believe this part may be easy. I think Card Dashboard would work for us?

[ ... Though having a look see about Staff Assignments would probably be good too, huh. ]

I agree. Though if they're willing to casually disclose this information to anyone, we might find something of interest. I suppose there's no reason staff assignments wouldn't be public.

[Let's see what the card dashboard has! The other part is probably something the two of them can go through while Phantom's doing any Engineering he may need to do.]

[ Card Dashboard has a few buttons: One that'll show where the swipe locations are, the option to make a new card (though that would require a blank one), and one for recalibrating the card itself. ]

Looks like there are things of interest here.

First we check out the swipe locations? Then there's something about recalibrating the card...

[Locations first, optimistically. Because they're definitely going to succeed at this card attempt or else just have Marcus 1v1 all doors]

[ There is, indeed, a map! It shows all the entrances that the Camellia group has explored so far, but it also gives an overview of where the entrances are on the upper floors. Sadly, I am mobile and cannot make one right now, but they're generally needed for elevator access to the higher floors and random office doors within. Including Dr. Juniper's office! ]

Look at that. It's definitely a map of some kind.

Now, we can take a peak right over at the Staff information as well...

[ When he notes where Dr. Juniper's office is, he feels like they are on their way to jackpot! ]

How obliging of them. It might be a little too optimistic to get to that office on our first attempt, but I think that should be our main goal.

[Phantom hopes his gang of plucky dangerous teenagers is taking notes. Onto staff information!]

[Actually, one more question for the map: given that a couple of the upper floors were marked as classified in the Camellia facility, does this map actually say what the names of those floors are too?]

I suppose that would be the easiest way to get the information we need.

[Them and Hien's stash of like 50 truth serums.]

[ Staffing information provides a list of, well, Camellia staff, as well as their level of clearance. (Kyle is on there as one of the lower clearance employees.) There are a lot of people, though, and there aren't very many with a high level of clearance.

Most notable in those ranks are Dr. Juniper, of course, and Lorelei.

As for the classified floors, no, there are no names shown for those. They're still labeled as classified. ]

Alright, I believe we've located the information we're looking for...I believe we should probably find a way to assign the keycard a higher level of clearance according to the higher-level employees.

Someone might notice if we chose Juniper, though. So maybe someone like Lorelei or close to her level...

[ Those are his thoughts, anyway. ]

Someone other than her, perhaps. From the way things have been going, I'd be surprised if she had access to Juniper's office. Although it's possible no one else does.

[According to the staffing info, do Lorelei and Juniper have the same level of clearance? Phantom's heading over to the card dashboard in any case now.]

Is it possible to look up a list of Camellia's executives? If any of them have disappeared, we could use one of theirs.

[Then again, maybe that would have its own problems? But to be fair, having Kyle's keycard or whatever suddenly go from low level clearance to high would be a red flag either way. In any case, if they have Internet access they can probably search up something.]

[ Lorelei's clearance is one below, so still up there but she doesn't have access to the entire building. There are other people with her same level, and one or two more alongside Juniper that have the highest level of clearance.

The Card Dashboard is asking for an employee name, though. What will you do? ]

It looks like there are others alongside Juniper's level. We can use one of theirs.

[ So, better idea than Lorelei or Juniper, in his opinion. Because the other two have like, good points here. ]

Let's use one of the other employee's names too.

The scientist the two of you kidnapped said almost everyone was gone, except for Juniper and Lorelei. The odds should be in our favor in this case.

[Phantom will just plug in one of the Jupiter-tier employee names if it lets him! How obliging are you, little program.]

Hopefully that extends to those at the top, then.

[because frankly it wouldn't surprise him if most of the higher-ups just left the rest of the employees to flounder as they hid in a bunker or something...]

...Then, a prompt comes up that asks for a passcode. A 5-digit one, to be exact. Looks like there's more security on this software than it seems. ]

[ Look, computers do not exist in Genshin as far as we/I know so he has no idea what he's looking at here. ]

A code of some kind. Like a key. It appears to be five digits long. If it's a random number, going through all the possibilities would take some time...

[But most people or systems wouldn't use a random number, would they? Hm...]

Have either of you seen anything like that? I wonder if it's a date. The time we were brought here would have significance to us, but perhaps not to them. The other project they proposed...? That only had a year on the flyer.

There are a lot of options but one that may be of interest is the Card Reassignment option for this particular executive. The steps are pretty easy and can be handwaved, though the final prompt will give them an "Are you sure?" kind of warning. ]
