WEEK SIX

Sunday starts with more aches and pains than you might be used to. Florence patched people up after Saturday’s lesson, sure, but it’s not a complete cure - not to mention it doesn’t ease the sting of betrayal. Some classmates that you thought would cooperate wound up breaking your trust in the end, and this week will be interesting with the fallout.

It’s hard to say what this week will have in store otherwise. Things are changing, and it’s not clear what this means for all of you. On the bright side, however, the creatures and places you once knew from home have suddenly disappeared, so that's less that you need to worry about. There are new areas for you to look at as well.

[ Being around Hien has been weird since the whole memory thing. Miach knows full well that he did not actually save her and definitely has not improved her life in any permanent way, but she remembers how it felt to suddenly be safe. Ugh.

[ Though Hien now has some proficiency with Estelline language from... gasp—studying. He can read and write but he has no idea how the words sound or anything. ]

Did you read anything interesting during your stay here? Heard there were some... interesting philosophy books.

[ Miach's definitely able to read the most basic Estelline by now as well, but to call it any degree of fluent reading comprehension would be too much said. Some basic words just stick after showing up so often... ]

I don't think you can quite imagine my disappointment at arriving in a world that seems so different from my own only to be fed the same drivel about avoiding strong emotions for the sake of sustainable coexistence...

It comes from a very different place, of course, but it is only too familiar at its core.

Hien reaches out to grab an average sized metalhead hammer and holds it out to Miach. ]

[ disclaimer: idk what's happening in the future but Hien thinks even a frail girl like Miach can use a hammer like this. It killed him before when he could still die at some point. ]
