05 - week five

WEEK FIVE

Come Sunday morning, the portals around Estelline fade away, but not all of the oddities hanging around disappear so quickly. The recreations of your dreams and memories are still around, ever changing and shifting. Whatever it is that brought these things here hasn’t ended, not yet.

You don’t have time to worry about all of that, though, even if you know you should exercise caution once two of you found yourselves on the bad end of a monster’s claws. The course still isn’t over, though, even if the portals changed lesson plans. Everything continues on, with new places to explore as the fog pushes back once again. This week still feels a little more like what you’re familiar with, though, after Saturday’s lack of lessons.

Hien just gives Fai the deadest look he can ever muster before turning away to pull his camera out of his bag and tries to take a surprise shot of Fai. ]

[ Hien will get a lovely picture of Fai staring wide-eyed at the camera, clearly taken aback by the photo. ]

[ He shakes the photo until it develops and then shows Fai... well, more like shoving it into his face. ]

See? Beautiful. I'm gonna keep this picture forever.

[ also because it's a rare moment that Fai looks surprised. ]

[ He puts the camera and photo away. ]

Fai puts is hands on his shoulders. ]

Call me pretty so many times that I'll start to believe it too. You don't need to make a poll.

I'm glad you're the first one I see when I wake up. A pretty sight for the sore eyes.

[ Ah... he's mildly embarrassed. ]

Who knew you were so cheesy?

You make anything you wear look good. That's how pretty you are. You can even make a trash bag look fashionable if you wear it.

I highly doubt that!

[ He laughs, suddenly feeling a bit nervous. But it's not a bad sort of nervousness, so Hien won't feel it at all. ]

You doubt so much, but you shouldn't doubt your beauty that's ranked higher than everyone in Estelline.

[ He gives Hien a doubtful look. ]

There's no way that's true.

[ Then he busies himself with fiddling with one of the devices on the table. ]

It's true.

[ He means every single word of it too, and he gets in the way of Fai fiddling with a device by being all up in his space. ]

And I wish you could see it too, one day.

[ He sets down the device, since Hien isn’t making it easy for him to distract himself with it, and looks at him. ]

What am I going to do with you…?

[ His voice is fond. ]

Love me, obviously.

[ He gives Fai a quick peck on the cheek. ]

[ He smiles softly, tugging on Hien’s shirt to pull him closer. Once he does, Fai just rests his forehead on his shoulder. ]

It’s a real shame there isn’t a nice restaurant here… Although, even if there was, it’s not like we could get a really good meal out of it.

It's fine. I'll be your personal chef from time to time.

[ Hien gently pats Fai's back after hugging him. There, there. ]

[ He lifts his head from Hien’s shoulder to smirk. ]

Depends. I don't think I've seen a single apron here...
