04 - week four

WEEK FOUR

Saturday comes to a close, and it’s time for some rest and recovery. Perhaps the TLC you deserve will come this week, or perhaps the nightmare will continue. It’s hard to say with things being so strange around you, from Wei Wuxian’s disappearance to the sudden addition of objects and places and creatures from your homes. Who knows what this week will bring? Nothing ordinary, that’s for sure.

You wake up on Sunday to an increase in those little glimpses you saw yesterday. What were snippets of songs, locations that might’ve seemed familiar, and creatures that were dormant, are now all alive and whole. When you go to the karaoke bar, the songs you once knew are there. Monsters and animals are alive and sentient. New business are abound. Vehicles are operable, and perhaps some of your old belongings are back, too.

However, some of these things aren’t even things that should exist outside of your dreams. They may be far too strange and unusual to be real, or just things you don't remember ever seeing. The only thing you remember about these things in particular is that they were, quite literally, in your dreams this week.

That being said, every few hours, all of these things from your homes and dreams fade out and get replaced by new sounds, places, beasts….only to maybe come back again at another time.

Well. At least there's one constant here: You’ve got a handful of new locations to look at, with the fog having spread once more, and they aren't going anywhere. There aren’t as many new places that are native to Estelline this time around, but that may be for the best, considering everything going on.

Also, we have a lot of participants for the news activity from last week. Neat! Everyone who participated in some capacity will have a small polaroid camera delivered to their doorstep. There's limited film, though - 10 photos per camera. It doesn't seem like there's any extra film at this time, either.

Finally, there will not be any weekly tasks this week. You guys are going to be busy with memshare and dreamscape stuff; instead, enjoy the Estelline University Newspaper!

[ When Marcus and the rest head towards the yelling, they'll be able to see a structure built at the edge of the park. It's hard to miss given that it's a little tall, and it's certainly too aesthetically out of place for being something that might be part of Estelline. But...here it is, tall and broad in its presence as its doors close shut.

It looms over the two figures that are on the ground, bleeding, shouting for help. ]

[ ...well at least one of them is shouting, one of them really isn't doing much besides coughing and rasping for breath. It honestly serves him right considering his terrible smoking habit, but that's not the cause of his ailments today.

That would probably be from the blossoming injuries on his person, though the brightest is coming from his abdomen, more gashes on his limbs like some kind of morbid accessories. Honestly Kawase's content to lay on the ground and just die right here. ]

[Marcus drops to his knees as he skids to a stop beside Kawase, shucking his jacket off and pulling off his shirt to press it against the wound in Kawase's abdomen in an attempt to staunch the bleeding.]

What the hell happened here...

[ There's a whole lot going on here but the obvious culprit is the deep wound in his abdomen that's bleeding pretty freely. Kawase really isn't in any position to respond, but eventually between coughing fits. ]

...don't touch me. [ Another cough and a breath later. ] Go help him instead.

That's exactly why— [ That is his best attempt to sound like the Authority on triage since you know, he's pre-med but it does not at all sound intimidating given his condition. ]

[ SIGHS... well, thankfully he's assembled a first aid kit that he's been carrying around in his AMAZING BAG, so. he'll start getting that out. ]

[He looks up when Rideaux speaks... and this time he actually does move away, though he leaves his shirt in place over the wound to keep on soaking up the blood.]

At this point Tamamori just fucking crawls over, I guess, aided by Frog Man frantically dragging and rolling alongside; at some point even that vanishes as his concentration drops and the creature flails and fades away; he has some vague inkling that sudden pain without wounds?? Isn't good?? But it's not like it's the time to think clearly. Ah, it's never a good time when it rains--]

... Kawa...se?

[Very quietly; it's probably a good thing other people are moving because he just sort of stops on his elbows once he gets within sighting distance and stares.]

[I THINK YOU MEAN HE DOES HIS WORST--

In response there's a whole confluence of things, like several weather fronts hitting each other at the same time: relief crashes into adrenaline crashes into a wave of aimless fury and everything waters each other down, pulls things away a little and clears up his mind enough to shakily get up a bit.

At some point his hands went numb but they're tingling back to life as he drags himself the rest of the way and reaches out, heedless of blood and everything else. Who knows what expression is on his face right now.]

[ Not too far away from Kawase is Chongyun, slumped on his side.

His arms are cut up, deep gashes from what seems to be defensive wounds - though the bleeding isn't as bad as the purple acid burning away at his skin. On his back are several more gashes - claw marks really, with one particularly nasty gouge on his upper back near his right shoulder. He's conscious, though clearly incapacitated. There's a weak nod in Kawase's direction. ]

Check... check on him first. Please.

[ It comes out hoarse, with him having used up most of his remaining strength to shout for help. ]

[Holy hell, what happened here? But Madara is taking to Chongyun while Kawase is looked after, and ripping a shred of cloth off his shirt to start to bandage some of this up.]

Somebody's got him. You okay?

[ A quick jerk of his head. That's a no. ]

T-thank you. Ugh. [ He grits his teeth, forcing the words out though the pain. ] Need healer fast. Rifthound corrosion...

[He's tearing his shirt to shreds to bandage Chongyun up until someone more capable gets here... until.

The "acid"? So he shifts his focus to getting that off.]

Will it come off with water, or does someone need to neutralize it?

What's with all the ruckus??

[I mean, Umebachidou is right there, and/or the streetcar just wanders around here like a particular dour puppy, so Tamamori might as well be here too. He even has his own umbrella handy at this point.]

[ Tamamori will suddenly, get hit with pain. Like, a ton of pain. It's mostly in his abdomen area, and there's some aches on his legs and his face. If he can endure it, he can probably make his way over towards the yelling still. ]

[OW?? EXCUSE ME????

Tamamori is not good with pain, so he's going down and hollering right along with them, we're shoutin' timber -- on the other hand, since they're near the bookshop and it's emergency measures, one (1) Frog Man suddenly balloons up out of nowhere like a bizarro mushroom -- he tries to catch Tamamori, catches the umbrella instead, and then makes a weird deflating noise when his master bounces off him.]

Urgh... What the hell...?

[Is he going to have to crawl over. What did y'all even do.]
