WEEK SIX

Sunday starts with more aches and pains than you might be used to. Florence patched people up after Saturday’s lesson, sure, but it’s not a complete cure - not to mention it doesn’t ease the sting of betrayal. Some classmates that you thought would cooperate wound up breaking your trust in the end, and this week will be interesting with the fallout.

It’s hard to say what this week will have in store otherwise. Things are changing, and it’s not clear what this means for all of you. On the bright side, however, the creatures and places you once knew from home have suddenly disappeared, so that's less that you need to worry about. There are new areas for you to look at as well.

[ Fufu. Chongyun has the cutest reactions. One of the reasons why he is so fond of him, really.

Oh well, he'll have to help him up at least... ]

[ As Xingqiu helps him up, Chongyun's eyes suddenly shoot open. He's conscious? But clearly not aware judging by the manic look in his eyes, and the frantic energy running wild through him. His heart is beating fast, so fast he's vibrating with it. It builds and builds until he meets Xingqiu's gaze.

!! ]

XINGQIU. [ LOUD. ] XINGQIU, YOU'RE HERE. QUICK, WE NEED TO GO.

[ Forget helping him up, Chongyun clumsily but swiftly scoops Xingqiu into his arms, lifting him into in a bridal carry. It's a disorienting fluster of frenetic limbs and confused loudness. ]

[ What has he WROUGHT? ]

Now, now, Chongyun, what are you doing?

[ He's holding onto him now, though, because he doesn't want to accidentally fall to the ground if he is dropped given his disorientation. He really has flustered him now, huh? ]

How about you just slow down a tad? I'm not so sure you should be moving too suddenly.

[ He uses one hand to pat his shoulder a bit. ]

[ But Chongyun doesn’t seem to be listening, and the bus has already left the station as he’s jogging out of the room with the other boy in his arms. All he hears is the tha-thumping of his heart and the blood rushing in his ears like a Liyuen waterfall. ]

WE NEED TO - I NEED TO SAY THE WORDS. I HAVE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW.

[ And in that instance, he decides they need to go up. All the way up. He books it for the stairs, bypassing the second floor and kicking open the door to the roof. It’s like he has all the adrenaline in the world. ]

[ There really are no breaks, huh? ]

What words are you talking about, exactly?

[ This is extremely alarming! And a little exhilarating; but he will keep a close watch on the situation. Maybe even wrangle him back downstairs for a nice treat to calm him down.

But will that really calm him down from what he's done?? Only time will tell. ]

[ Chongyun takes them to the edge of the roof and stops alarmingly close to the steep drop. It's alright! He won't let Xingqiu fall. Despite how jittery he is from the overload of everything he's feeling - all the emotions, all at once - his grip on the other boy is secure, and he's hyperfocused on getting this right.

It's almost evening now, and hopefully everyone is busy with dinner or distracted by other things elsewhere because Chongyun is about to be real loud. He's not just talking loudly, he's shouting now. ]

HELLO, WORLD!! PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY!! I NEED TO LET YOU KNOW - [ he takes a deep breath ] - XINGQIU IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON IN THIS WORLD! IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ME, YOU'RE WRONG AND I WILL FIGHT YOU! AND WIN. HE'S EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT! HIS HEART IS BIG AND GENEROUS! HIS HAIR IS SO SOFT, AND SOMETIMES WHEN HE SMILES, HIS EYES CRINKLE JUST SO-

[ Wow, is he ever going to stop - ]

[ Xingqiu is still more than a little surprised...but maybe what's surprising is that he's not concerned he'll be dropped. But, he does happen to look out over the view.

It's a foreign place still and will never be as comfortable as Liyue or as beautiful, in his opinion. Yet, looking from where he is now, even with the strange aspects of this world seems like quite an experience. Being held in Chongyun's arms, and at this point, maybe even getting more than a little comfortable—

And then he's shouting. Oh my god.

He'll reach over to gently tug on some part of the clothing of the other male's front. ]

Chongyun, please. You're going to distract everyone all at once! I am sure that they understand full well what you're trying to say. I certainly do.

[ It's embarrassing, but he can't allowing a little laugh. It's...certainly something, and for once his own cheeks are colored a bit. ]

...And, I am honored, trust me. Can you just look at me for a moment?

AND WHEN HE LAUGHS -

[ And then Chongyun stops short because Xingqiu does laugh and somehow, out of everything, that catches his attention. It's just a little laugh, but to Chongyun's ears, it's wondrous. Mellisonant.

He gazes down at Xingqiu as asked though his eyes are still wild and bright. He doesn't seem to be present, but he's finally looking and listening, maybe. But Xingqiu is blushing and - ]

Wow...
