06 - week six
WEEK SIX
Sunday starts with more aches and pains than you might be used to. Florence patched people up after Saturday’s lesson, sure, but it’s not a complete cure - not to mention it doesn’t ease the sting of betrayal. Some classmates that you thought would cooperate wound up breaking your trust in the end, and this week will be interesting with the fallout.
It’s hard to say what this week will have in store otherwise. Things are changing, and it’s not clear what this means for all of you. On the bright side, however, the creatures and places you once knew from home have suddenly disappeared, so that's less that you need to worry about. There are new areas for you to look at as well.
SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY

[ all sabo can want from ace is for him to live and keep living. ]
...and to that point, Ace is thinking that he'll return with me and not the version that he left.
[ now whether sabo has given ace the green-light to actually do that or not is still up in the air because of previously mentioned thoughts. he can't rob a timeline of that altered version of events; he has already mourned so it was fine to keep things as they are for him.
but. ]
I suppose if he returns with me means that in his version of our world he also survives then I'd be more open to it.

Hm.]
I cannot say for certain if that would be what happens, were you and Mr. Ace to return to the same point in time for your home world - if there would truly be another timeline with another version of the both of your or not. It is something that will be impossible to know for certain, I think, until the two of you return.
[...]
I am not sure if saying this would be out of line, Mr. Sabo, but I think that if Mr. Ace wishes to return to your time in your world it would be best to accept that and find a new place for him to fit into that world, without worrying about alternate possibilities. The Mr. Sabo and Mr. Aces that are the ones you can see in the here and now are more important than unknown variations of yourselves.

it is humans that are the most illogical when dealing with supposed complicated matters like this. but sabo also has the ability to overthink things while also not thinking about them enough. depends on what it is. ]
That would be the logical thing to do. [ he says with a weak smile on his face. ] It is also what Ace would like the most.
[ ... ]
I just don't like the idea of the possibility of robbing myself of getting what they want.

[They're trying very hard to understand, Sabo, but this is above their paygrade and character arc.]
Or are you saying you are willing to rob yourself of what you want for another, theoretical version of you that may not truly exist in any capacity?
[............................]
That seems incredibly foolish and bizarre and has no purpose besides ensuring you will be unhappy when you return home as you have to suffer the loss of Mr. Ace again.

he's not going to answer that question because even if the answer exists (which it does), it doesn't mean that he has to put words to them. sometimes you don't have to turn in your assignments!! ]
I would be suggesting the second scenario that you brought up, and I wouldn't be entirely unhappy. [ a weak counter to what they say. ] I got to spend all of this time with Ace that I never had before nor would I have imagined being able to have.
[ and he has nothing to comment on about florence sees it as having no purpose other than just making him unhappy. because, you know, despite him saying that he wouldn't be entirely unhappy that still means that he's going to be unhappy about it. ]
Still not very logical, is it?
