WEEK SIX

Sunday starts with more aches and pains than you might be used to. Florence patched people up after Saturday’s lesson, sure, but it’s not a complete cure - not to mention it doesn’t ease the sting of betrayal. Some classmates that you thought would cooperate wound up breaking your trust in the end, and this week will be interesting with the fallout.

It’s hard to say what this week will have in store otherwise. Things are changing, and it’s not clear what this means for all of you. On the bright side, however, the creatures and places you once knew from home have suddenly disappeared, so that's less that you need to worry about. There are new areas for you to look at as well.

[ Luci can't help but draw his eyes to the knife in Chongyun's hand while loitering in the hardware store. The demon sneaks up behind the exorcist. ]

Who you murdering?

[ Asked at full volume with no seriousness, because it's a joke. He'd sound happier if he thought Chongyun was actually the type. ]

... You think this knife would make a good murder weapon?

[ He considers it. ]

Swift and merciful is the best way to kill, and I doubt such a small knife can suffice.

Anything can be a murder weapon if you try hard enough.

[ Luci still doesn't sound that serious. After a beat, he asks-- ]

So what're you really up to, Yuney?

Yuney!?

[ Who the heck is that - ]

Why Yuney... - Ugh, never mind that. I'm looking to make amulets for the people we have left here. [ WELL. He's petty enough not to make it for everyone considering Saturday, but most people, sure. ] Do you think this knife will work for carving?

You heard me.

[ Luci takes joy in that response. He'll figure out everyone's least favorite profile nickname. The question has him stepping closer, looking at the knife more carefully. For once, his hum of thought is actually paired with helpful thoughts.

He looks around for a moment before scampering, jumping with a ha, tail making a selection. It's smaller, more specialized looking. ]

[ Chongyun GUESSES it's better than Yunyun... But Yuney is so... cutesy, ugh. ]

I wish I hadn't...

[ But then Luci really helps Chongyun out and he - blinks. Once, twice. ]

Thank you! You're familiar with carving then? A hobby of yours, too?

Yeah, yeah. You could say that.

[ Not only with wood. Luci waves the smaller knife in the air in front of Yuney. It's not a threatening gesture, but it's about to border on pushy if he keeps thanking him. ]

You painting these dumb things too or what?

[ He shakes his head; the thought hadn’t occurred to him. ]

I usually make them out of ice, so… [ Is painting ice a thing that’s done?? ] What about you, Luci?

[ Luci avoids the actual question, but he's also not lying. ]

Dunno, never made an amulet. Demon, remember?

Amulets protect people from demons and the like, but - I suppose there is nothing to say demons can't use some protection of their own?

[ Chongyun would feel bad if anyone ever kicked or hurt Luci. He's so small and obnoxious! It's bound to happen. ]
