WEEK SIX

Sunday starts with more aches and pains than you might be used to. Florence patched people up after Saturday’s lesson, sure, but it’s not a complete cure - not to mention it doesn’t ease the sting of betrayal. Some classmates that you thought would cooperate wound up breaking your trust in the end, and this week will be interesting with the fallout.

It’s hard to say what this week will have in store otherwise. Things are changing, and it’s not clear what this means for all of you. On the bright side, however, the creatures and places you once knew from home have suddenly disappeared, so that's less that you need to worry about. There are new areas for you to look at as well.

Yeah, I'm pretty arrogant. I won't deny it. I'm not as nice as people think either.

...I do not know. On the one hand, I believe most people would find a claim and your outlook to be upsetting, but on the other hand you are truthful about it.

[ That's why he doesn't go around advertising it to everyone. Even Hien is aware of that sort of thing. ]

But I'm not human or any other being with a limited lifespan. I don't value life like everyone else does.

You are a very odd being, Mr. Callias, compared to the scenarios I had been prepared for.

Yeah, I'm pretty weird. Get that a lot. What did you think it was gonna be like, anyway?

I took it upon myself to look into human interactions and psychology, to try to prepare myself for how people may behave and tried to produce scenarios from that data. It was... not very accurate to how you as a whole have acted.

[It's almost like this experiment isn't a normal thing or something...]

Well, that's for humans, Florence. Half of us aren't human. Sure, we're similar because we're humanoids, but... that's it. Well, I'm sure you know that by now, but it's not like you had other references anyway. For example, I'm sure some betrayed people put the betrayals behind them instead of developing a grudge.

I still feel I could have been better prepared for all of this.

[Ah, well.]

It seems all I can do now is assure nobody dies, and I must figure out how to achieve that. Why and how people are acting the way they are should... not be such a large factor in that.

It does though. If you can't predict how someone else will act, how are you gonna prevent them from dying? There's this guy from Team 15 who wants to die so bad.

Anyway, try to predict based on what you see of other people. Is that person stubborn? Are they protective and therefore more likely to get in harm's way... things like that.

[ But like he said, individuals are much more unpredictable. ]

Good luck, Florence. If someone dies, just pray for me to regain my power so I can resurrect them on the spot.

I am sure now I will be better at predictions now after this much time.

Things should not be worse than this last Saturday, so it should be fine.
