WEEK SIX

Sunday starts with more aches and pains than you might be used to. Florence patched people up after Saturday’s lesson, sure, but it’s not a complete cure - not to mention it doesn’t ease the sting of betrayal. Some classmates that you thought would cooperate wound up breaking your trust in the end, and this week will be interesting with the fallout.

It’s hard to say what this week will have in store otherwise. Things are changing, and it’s not clear what this means for all of you. On the bright side, however, the creatures and places you once knew from home have suddenly disappeared, so that's less that you need to worry about. There are new areas for you to look at as well.

[Flat is ever reliable...

The music seems to be playing over speakers? Though they're not readily apparent. What is apparent is that Florence is there, as well as some new tables and chairs, as if Florence was preparing for a large crowd.]

What are you prepping for?

An ice cream party for the students.

Oh, that's fantastic! What kind of ice cream? It's not poisoned is it? What's the occasion?

[ one of these questions is not like the other, but that's fine, right, ]

It should not be, unless it was poisoned at the factory.

[Which is pretty unlikely?]

I wished to have a discussion with the students, but it seemed like having something to make it easier or to provide comfort would be a good idea.

[escardos]

Oh, I guess ice cream would help for that, then!

[ flat nods! ]

Did you bring sprinkles?

[affligere]

I did.

[Multiple varieties, in fact. There are at least five kinds of sprinkles in this room.]

They seemed a customary topping for ice cream, amongst other things.

Wow, you studied hard!

[ while this may appear patronizing, it's genuine praise from flat. he nods and smiles happily. ]

Good job. I'm sure lots of people will like it!

[affligere]

I wanted it to be a good experience.

[They're not offended, so it's fine.]

So hopefully they will. Do you like ice cream, Flat?

Of course, I do! Ice cream is one of the pillars of any teenager's nutrition and one of the basic ways to enjoy life in a warm summer day.

[ no, not really. but flat says it with enough confidence to seem like he genuinely believes it. ]

Is that so...? I see.

[they believe him, whomp whomp]

Well, I hope there are flavors here too your liking.

I'm sure there will be!

Have you ever wanted to try ice cream?

I cannot say that I have wanted to, but I am also unsure if I can actually "taste" ice cream.
