06 - week six
WEEK SIX
Sunday starts with more aches and pains than you might be used to. Florence patched people up after Saturday’s lesson, sure, but it’s not a complete cure - not to mention it doesn’t ease the sting of betrayal. Some classmates that you thought would cooperate wound up breaking your trust in the end, and this week will be interesting with the fallout.
It’s hard to say what this week will have in store otherwise. Things are changing, and it’s not clear what this means for all of you. On the bright side, however, the creatures and places you once knew from home have suddenly disappeared, so that's less that you need to worry about. There are new areas for you to look at as well.

As for the package... huh. Is that where Florence has been hanging out when they're not at the university...? Well, he'll bring the package along with him. If there's nothing else, then he will check out the mailboxes in the lobby to see if there are any other recognizable names before going up to inspect the units.]

That's it in the mailroom, and the only recognizable name on the wall is Florence. He can't even find Kyle here, which is probably fortunate for Kyle even if Shin was just along for the ride during that whole thing.
Where's he going to start with the units? Florence's first, or is he just going to pick one at random?]
no subject
Anyway, it's probably easier to just go for Florence's first unless anything about the other units stands out. However, on the way there he'll test the doors to check if most of them are locked or not. Regardless of the state of the doors, he'll just leave them for now even if he might look into a couple of those later.
But anyways, let's see what we can get from Florence's first. Is it locked?]

Most of the doors are locked! There's a few that aren't, though, so he can check them out later if he wants.
Florence's door is... actually unlocked! So he doesn't have to try to break the door down, thankfully. The first room of the apartment is the kitchen, and there's a closet to the left of the entryway. There's also a larger open room beyond the kitchen, but it looks pretty empty on account of there not being any furniture that Shin can see from the entryway.]

The closet has a washing machine and dryer in it, with a shelf running above them housing detergent. There's also a box where it seems like Florence has been sticking partnerless socks, but there's not much else there. Probably best to move deeper into the apartment.]

The room is very empty, but it has a small balcony for looking out into the courtyard, and... a lot of wires running across the floor. It seems like someone needs to outlets in this room, and all of the wires are running to a room on the left side of the closet where the laundry machines are.]

Or he can look at the rest of the room.]

Anyway he’s pressing it! Let’s see what this machine will do when it’s turned on!!]

The machine turns on, with a lot of buzzing and flashing lights, and surprisingly this machine doesn't seem to require a password!
Of course, that doesn't make what's on the screens any more recognizable. One of the screens is a list of words in the Estelline language - with the last four lines greyed out. Shin can probably piece together that these are names. The names of the students enrolled in the course specifically.
One of the monitors is a standard desktop background, with program icons for a browser, recycle bin, and what seems to be games. The rest of the screens are dark, but in the "background image is black but the screens are still on" kind of way. It doesn't seem like there's any sort of mouse, tablet, or anything else that could be used to interact with the computer, though.]

Alright, checking out the rest of the room now!! Is there anything else that stands out besides all the electronics and the balcony? Any other furniture or cabinets or whatnot?]
no subject
But besides the plants on the balcony, that's it! If he wants to take a look at them, he's welcome to, otherwise the apartment is cleared.]
no subject
But now it's back to being outside and checking out some of the other units. Anyways, just doing this in broad strokes for everyone's sanity, but for the unlocked apartments, are there signs that people evacuated (so, necessities being taken, maybe some stuff left in disarray)? Also, are there any signs that there were other Camellia employees living in some of these units?]
no subject
There are quite a few apartments where it seems the residents evacuated, yes! But there are just as many where it seems like people simply stepped outside and never returned, with everything as it should be.
There are no signs of any Camellia employees in these complexes, though, so with that the apartment units are cleared entirely!]
