3.0 - week three

WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

[ but he considers that question for a moment. hm. ]

They're kind of pointless?

[ yeah. i guess this is what they're doing. it's fine? ]

You didn't think they were pointless when you were younger. [ admittedly, ace also didn't wear much beyond tank tops BUT ALSO it wasn't as though he was in a situation where he could just pick and choose from all sorts of clothing like sabo could. nevertheless— ] And they're important if you don't want to be affected by the elements.

[ he'll poke ace in the chest with his other hand. ]

You're not made out of fire here.

[ at those last words, his fingers tighten a bit around sabo's hand. it's not that he's forgotten, but even being reminded after all these weeks is still such a strange thing to him.

sure, it was only a limited time he had the fruit, but it really became a part of who he was.

but swats at the offending hand with his free hand. no need to poke at! ]

Guess you've got a point. Though, it really hasn't been a problem not wearing them so far.

[ sabo will not say anything about ace squeezing his fingers but he won't ignore them either. sadly, he wishes he could have something a bit more comforting to say about this but he really doesn't. instead, he'll just keep the conversation moving. ]

It's because this place is like a controlled environment. [ tilting his head the other way. ] Won't you try to wear something else?

[ he will attempt to give ace a look. (what kind of look, dunno. cute? excited? pleading? something like that?) ]

It might be fun.

[ it's fine. there's not much that can be said about it. just something he's got to adjust to not having.

he was about to say there was no need for it, but sabo seemed pretty interested in seeing him in something else, other than what he normally wears. ]

Fine, fine. If that's what you really want.

[ when ace agrees, sabo will let out a small cheer and remove his hand from ace's and wander towards the rest of the clothing racks. ]

I promise that I know better than to dress you up like me.

[ like a good boy, ace follows along with sabo. he's not too sold on a fashion show, but sabo seems pretty happy about it. so, what the heck. ]

Good. It might work for you, but I'd never pull it off.

[ not that he'd want to. ]

Yeah, you have too many muscles and would just end up looking ridiculous.

[ which, you know, means that sabo will start to pick something that would fit ace a bit more loosely than anything fitted. but not in the unflattering way.

something a bit like this. you know, "streetwear" fashion or something like that. the opposite of what sabo would wear, kind of. ]

[ his titties might pop a button or two off if he tried to wear something like that.

he looks over the item that sabo hands him and since he doesn't have to worry about changing any kind of shirt, he isn't bothering with a changing room. not that he would over a shirt anyway.

so, he takes the hat off and plops it on a rack nearby to try on what sabo handed him. he holds both of his arms out. who needs this much fabric anyway?? ]

So? [ how does it look? ]

[ all of that muscle and for what!!! ]

It's not a bad look for you. [ casually said as he wanders over to push up the sleeves some, up to his elbows so that ace's forearms are bare. ] See, you can look good in clothes. There's no reason for you to avoid them.

[ yes, sabo has figured out why ace has abandoned wearing shirts. it's not hard to see since the mark is so blatant on his back and everything but what's wrong with clothes!! people have worked hard on their craft and it should be appreciated!! ]

[ for everyone's viewing pleasure. ]

Maybe sometimes, but don't count on it all the time.

[ well. the proud tattoo is mostly marred by the large scarring back there, unfortunately, but that doesn't mean he doesn't need to stop showing it off with pride. though, maybe showing that scar on his back and chest is a bit unfair as a constant reminder of what happened to sabo. ]

[ FROWNS DEEPLY.

also how thoughtful of ace to consider what the scar might be doing to sabo after these many weeks. it's okay though because sabo is a big boy who has a scar of his own that isn't being hidden either. ]

Well, thank you for agreeing to wearing whatever clothes you do end up in whenever that is.

[ and sabo will continue to fiddle and fuss with ace's shirt until it sits on him just "right". he might even brush a few strands of hair back from ace's face and "tame" it some as he looks down at the rest of what he's wearing. ]

Can I get you to try on pants properly or are you going to be completely adverse to pants.

[ he considers this for a moment before shrugging. ]

You know what? Fine. You've already got this much, I'll humor you.

[ he'll humor sabo for now, but he better get something nice out of it later. ]

[ what else can sabo do for ace!! isn't a bright, winning smile enough?? because that is what he'll get as soon as he agrees before immediately finding the next article of clothing that he would like ace to try on. ]

Then put these on.

[ holding out a pair of simple black jeans. they're not the skinny type but just normal fitted straight-legged jeans. ace should be able to handle that, right? it's almost like trading in what he's wearing now for something longer. ]

[ sabo's creative, he can think of something beyond that charming smile!! though, the smile is a good treat for him.

he'll behave and go to the changing room to try on these pants. once finished, he comes out with his new outfit complete. ]

[ sabo's already his malewife!! what else can he do for ace here?? glad that the smile is some form of adequate payment, at least. but thank you for going to change the room like a normal person... though the reveal does take him a moment.

...had he ever seen ace dressed liked this before? well, the answer is obvious there but. huh. ]

It's not a bad look. How do you feel about it?

and don't worry, he was thinking about changing right there. it wouldn't be fun otherwise. he looks down at his pants. they feel fine and they're functional. ]

Great, now, how often would I be able to see you dressed up like this?

It wouldn't hurt anyone, and you look nice in them.

I'll consider when I feel like wearing it.

Maybe we could look into getting more items then to see what else might inspire you.

[ good question. maybe when they don't fail on a date in the future. ]

You just want to see how long I'll go along with this.
