Like last Saturday, everyone will get an announcement on their tablets; this time, the announcement is preceded with a bell of some sort before Lorelei appears on the screen again.

"Good morning, everyone. This is an announcement to let you know that today's lesson will take place starting at 8:15 tonight. Again, today's lesson will be starting at 8:15. Please meet at the lower campus exit near the lecture by 8:00pm; Florence will be waiting for you there.

If you have a bag for some snacks and, perhaps, an item you can use for self-defense in the case of an emergency, please arrive with those things on you. We will provide you with an overview of what to expect when you arrive at 8pm.

You have the day to prepare, ask each other what the hell is happening -- Florence and Lorelei do not seem to be available, strangely enough. There's a lot to take in with the information you have now. But before you know it... night falls.

I've always wanted to try drawing a manga, but that's not something that you put in a museum. What I'd like to put in a museum isn't here.

[ ........ ]

What do you want to put up there?

[vivens]

I forgot everything once; I didn't know my name or where I was from. [ the tone of sabo's voice will shift and become, once again, a bit off. there's a genuine wistful sadness to it. however, the more he speaks the more desperate it will become. his grip tightening a bit more. ] It's horrible—forgetting. I don't want to forget anything ever again.

...and I don't want to be forgotten.

[ sabo's whole deamore will return to ""normal"" and he'll tilt his head to one side as he looks down at flat. ]

So, what kind of thing would you want to put in a museum, Flat?

Ah, well, I was thinking of putting a Grail in a museum. But it doesn't matter now, so it's not that big of a deal.

[ he smiles pitifully up at "sabo", breathing out a huff through his nose. ]

I think there's something beautiful about that, actually. If you forget who and what you are, then you can become anything that you want. You could say you're a cowboy or a pirate, maybe even a scientist that has lost his way. All you need is to find some sort of purpose.

[ ... ]

But is that really your wish? Or is it you, ghost?

[vivens]

Is that so..? I suppose you do have a point with that.

[ to both flat's desire to put a grail into the museum and his take on forgetting everything. even if he doesn't quite understand the context around the grail itself. (is it just a normal cup or??) sabo smiles slightly as he continues his response. ]

I did become revolutionary instead of a pirate as a result of forgetting everything else. My memories did return, though, eventually...but it wasn't before I lost something important to me.

[ ... ]

It's why I don't want to be something easily forgotten. [ sabo leans in closer as he keeps his grip firm on flat's wrist. ] But ghost? Who's a ghost?

Ah, should I have used 'ghoul' instead? Or 'spirit'?

[ flat tilts his head, seemingly unperturbed by the fact that sabo continues grabbing his wrist. he doesn't struggle to get away, and there's not even a flicker of fear in his eyes as he continues. ]

'Demon' seems a bit rude, but I have a couple friends that are demons...or, well, something like it. Howeverm if there's something you'd prefer I call you, please let me know! It'd be even more rude if I called you Sabo when it's not really just you there, I think.

[ he smiles. ]

Most people will eventually be forgotten. That's just what happens! But if he's a real revolutionary, then I'm sure his actions will have an incredible impact that no one will forget.

[vivens]

[ as flat speaks, sabo's pleasant expression doesn't falter for a moment, well, except for a single twitch when he says it's rude to refer to him as sabo. ]

Why are you speaking about me as though I'm not here?

[ a moment of hostility in his voice before it shifts again to something more strained. ]

...but it isn't the actions of me alone that will be remembered. It'll be the memories of the group who will be remembered. The collective whole. My name will fade away and only the organization will remain.

[ he'll look away from flat and back to the wall. he had gotten distracted by the conversation that he forgot what he was doing. again, forgetting. sabo doesn't let go of flat's wrist but goes back to scrapping at the wall. ]

If that will even remain.

[ well that's a whole lot of self-deprecation that flat doesn't really know what to do with or really care about.

anyways-- ]

So you're trying to dig a hole through the wall because you're sad that eventually nobody will remember you? [ again, just a really pitying smile. ] Then maybe you should have become an actor instead, Mister-Sabo-that's-totally-not-possessed-by-a-ghost.

[vivens]

[ bless flat; non-possessed sabo will appreciate this when the ghouly is gone but for the present, it just makes him more determined to scratch into the wall.

at least this time he seems to have more intent..?? ]

Who said anything about a hole? [ the formation of an extremely exaggerated "S" will start to take shape. ] I'll etch myself into this place.

Like the Junji Ito manga...?

[ aaaaaaalright, well that's a little bit too much ridiculousness for even flat to handle.

he sighs, shrugging his shoulders. ]

Can I convince you to leave the body? If you're so scared, then I won't forget you. I'll give you a diary when we get back so you can write all about yourself and make sure that you don't forget yourself again or something.

[vivens]

[ HELP.

I'M ON MY LAPTOP....superimpose the image of ""sabo"" onto that one panel. and it's actually so funny because as soon as flat mentions writing about himself he pauses for a moment. ]

But...I already do that. [ :nyanhmm: ] After—

After I've done what I need to, I'll be able to do what I want to do... I've wanted to write my adventures into a book.

[escardos]

Ah! That's incredible!

[ now there's some genuine cheer in flat's voice. ]

You know what, you should talk to Mister Sholmes, in that case. He actually has his assistant write his adventures into a book, and they're apparently published works and everything. That's the perfect way to be remembered. [ he glances at a wall. ] Much better than that. And, you know what? There's books that are still in circulation after hundreds, or even thousands of years. In my world, we have a "poem" that's been around for, like, 5000 years.

[vivens]

[ sabo will stop what he's doing and release his hold on flat. his hands falling limp to his sides as he smiles, more like his actual self, before speaking. ]

It's why I love books and always enjoyed reading them. [ stories whether fictional or fact, sabo loved them all. ] And five thousand years is an awfully long time to remember a "poem". It must be quite the poem to be remembered for that long.

[ a moment as he says nothing for a while and just simply lowers his head and smiles. whether it's obvious or not what happens next, the next time that sabo looks at flat, there's a glint in his eyes. ]

I hope that the book I end up writing will be just as memorable as that poem from your world. [ a soft chuckle. ] But when I succeed as a revolutionary, then I'm sure that'd make for one hell of a story in itself.

I absolutely believe you will, Mister Sabo!

[ it's good to have him back. at the same time that he's released, flat lets go of the hand in his pocket, though obviously there's a very visible weight in there still. it's no longer necessary though, which is great news. ]

In fact, one of my favorite books is about a group of three swordsmen that fight for justice. It's been around for almost two hundred years, and has gotten lots of plays and even movies. [ his eyes sparkle with the memory as he continues. ] You kind of remind me of one!

[vivens]

[ i, naru, am sad that sabo was not stabbed but instead a junji ito meme was made of him.... except i'm not that sad. it's only week 2 and there's plenty of time for things to go downhill super fast. ]

Three swordsmen that for justice, huh? [ sabo makes a soft humming noise as he wonders what direction that it might go. a story of overcoming hardship? likely. and mainly because he can't help it: ] Did they consider one another brothers?

[ sabo chuckles lightly as flat's eyes sparkle when he suggestions the commonality. he has no idea what that could mean and is curious how he's seen in flat's (very unique) mind. ]

I'd love to hear all about this, if you'd like to share it with me. It sounds like something that I might enjoy quite a bit myself.

[ at sabo's question, flat's eyes light up, nodding eagerly. ]

That's correct! [ he places his hands on his hips and puffs out his chest, attempting to make a dramatic pose. ] "All for one, and one for all!" That was their motto.

I'll tell you all about it when we get back, for sure!

"All for one, and one for all"...

[ he'll muse quietly about the chest puffing and mull over the motto of these brothers. given how both of his brothers are pirates, they aren't going to be the most noble (they live greedy, selfish, and free), but sabo finds it quite appealing. ]
