Like last Saturday, everyone will get an announcement on their tablets; this time, the announcement is preceded with a bell of some sort before Lorelei appears on the screen again.

"Good morning, everyone. This is an announcement to let you know that today's lesson will take place starting at 8:15 tonight. Again, today's lesson will be starting at 8:15. Please meet at the lower campus exit near the lecture by 8:00pm; Florence will be waiting for you there.

If you have a bag for some snacks and, perhaps, an item you can use for self-defense in the case of an emergency, please arrive with those things on you. We will provide you with an overview of what to expect when you arrive at 8pm.

You have the day to prepare, ask each other what the hell is happening -- Florence and Lorelei do not seem to be available, strangely enough. There's a lot to take in with the information you have now. But before you know it... night falls.

... I wonder if it's linked to the things they took from us before we got here. I'd been wondering how they could restrict my access to magic...

But if they could "take" my magic that would be a good catalyst for creating things based on what I was experiencing. Or,

If we're in some sort of magic simulation it's easy enough to restrict the player's powersets by changing variables.

... of course, there's not an ounce of hard evidence to either speculation~...

I'm also giving more credit to the simulation theory now - I have no familiarity with magic, but I can imagine something like that being set up with nanotech as well.

[ Funny that it had sounded like a bit of an out there suggestion when Flat said it on the bus. It doesn't feel all that off now. ]

It would also make it possible to make us clumsier, like what has occurred earlier this week. They would merely need to alter the illusion they have put our minds under, no need to mess with the rest of the body.

Florence says they didn't know what caused that, but it is possible they are being kept in the dark about a lot as well.
