Like last Saturday, everyone will get an announcement on their tablets; this time, the announcement is preceded with a bell of some sort before Lorelei appears on the screen again.

"Good morning, everyone. This is an announcement to let you know that today's lesson will take place starting at 8:15 tonight. Again, today's lesson will be starting at 8:15. Please meet at the lower campus exit near the lecture by 8:00pm; Florence will be waiting for you there.

If you have a bag for some snacks and, perhaps, an item you can use for self-defense in the case of an emergency, please arrive with those things on you. We will provide you with an overview of what to expect when you arrive at 8pm.

[It’s 8’clock, but Florence is at the lower campus exit several minutes early. They wait impassively for everyone to show up, glancing at each student as they arrive for a moment. Once it hits 8:15 they begin to speak.]

This lesson will be quite different from last week. I will not be able to accompany you, so if you have any questions, please ask them now. It is also unlikely you will be able to contact us on your tablets when you reach your destination.

Your goal of this lesson is an investigation. There is more information on this brochure…

[They go around the gathered students, handing out a sheet of paper to everyone. While they said it would have more information… Does it, really?]

Please be careful while off campus.

There is a bus that will take you to your destination. It departs in fifteen minutes, and please remember that participation is the best way to guarantee passing the class.

[And with that, they fall silent. You don’t have much time to ask questions, so you might want to take what little time you can before you get shooed to the bus stop.]

[ He... hopes... honestly, Fai doesn't have much faith in them actually getting to save anyone because he's a pessimist. ]

Does that mean this...investigation you're sending us to doesn't require anything other than our wits and skill?

[Either that or we're being sent while woefully lacking in stuff they may need -- other than any stuff they gathered before coming here as per instructions -- which isn't something he would be too surprised about. The vagueness bothers Sholmes, it seems]

Well, now he’s planted there fiddling with whatever’s in his pockets and looking extra unsettled and annoyed. The one thing he’s learned from his CYOA life is apparently just wearing generic clothes for weird circumstances, so he’s in some hoodie or whatever.]

[ The announcement said to bring something for self defense, so Fai has a rolling pin... at least he can do something with it?

He also has a backpack on, filled with snacks, a few things from the health room, and the gauze he got this week just in case. ]

Being told "don't worry" makes me actually worry.

[ Finally, something Bennett is good at! He's got a barbell that he lifted from the gym and he looks stoked. He has but one excited question for Florence. ]

( yeah? yeah. hi. shizuku is not a fighter. she knows archery, of course, but do you see bows and arrows? no. so. shizuku has a drawstring backpack from the school store with snacks, a rolled up towel and a few things from the health room- as well as a compact mirror if madara's given her that yet, that's currently up in the air. schrodinger's mirror. we'll see, honestly. but she is anxious! )

What should we be expecting in terms of... what we might need to defend ourselves from?

[ This shirtless fellow shows up with a sack [pillowcase] filled up and hanging over his shoulder. He doesn't really care to ask questions and crouches down nearby while they wait. ]

If you wished us to have items for self-defense, you might consider actually carrying some in the stores. Or returning our powers to us.

[Yes, Phantom is still on about this. He's not happy being told to "be careful" when the best he could scrounge up is a messenger bag filled with a heavy textbook, several snacks, and the pair of compacts just in case.

A knife would have been nice! Useless, but nice!]

[Unsurprisingly(?), Shin looks rather unbothered by this whole development, although he's prepared with a pair of shitty kitchen knives at his belt and a backpack full of whatever the hell medical supplies he could get. This place really sucks when it comes to equipping them huh.]
