02 - week two

WEEK TWO

When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.

Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.

Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.

Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.

Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.

Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.

OOC NOTE

OOC: Anyone who performed in the Pep Rally (Sabo, Madara, Riku, Shizuku, Herlock, Idia, Flat, Miach) task will be able to redeem a voucher for a prize with one of the NPCs. This can be handwaved, and the prize selection is below.

-Single-serve coffee machine wither a selection of creamer. Comes with packs of coffee beans.
-Popcorn maker and kernels.
-High-quality tea kettle with a selection of just as high-quality tea.
-Carbonation machine (think Sodastream, etc) with flavored syrup.

Any coffee, tea, popcorn, etc. will last characters up to two weeks.

Anyone who participated in the Bulletin Board task will receive a voucher for your choice of two pairs colorful socks with cute animal designs. (Worry frog design available.)

Hien doesn't get it as he feels like his head is above the clouds for some reason. ]

[ Like getting him coffee to start the day and stuff. ]

I mean in a different way. Not the way in which I bring you coffee.

[ God. Why does Hien have to choose now of all times to be a space cadet?

Fai walks faster. ]

I'm not gonna beat you up.

[ He tries to keep up with Fai's pace. Why is he going faster?? Is he that worried about his hand?? ]

You’re so dumb.

[ Said fondly(?). ]

What??

[ He frowns and catches up to Fai. ]

Was that not warranted???

That isn’t what I meant.

[ Ahhh! He’s done trying to offer this. All he’s paying attention to now is getting to the health room. ]

Then what did you mean? Just say it.

[ Why does Fai not want to tell him... regardless of his feelings, they arrive at the health room and Hien knows where the bandages are, so he goes to take a roll. ]

Can you wrap this for me? You'll have to get my individual fingers too.

[partymagician]

[ Sorry, Fai is incapable of being direct. ]

Of course I can.

[ He wraps Hien’s hand up carefully, weaving the bandage around his fingers in a way that makes it easy for him to still move them around.

It doesn’t take him too long to finish. ]

All done.

[ He looks at his hand. It's not hard to move his fingers and the bandages aren't so tight either. ]

It's like you're a nurse.

I used to treat Kuro-sama’s wounds when we fought frequently. I had a lot of time to learn things, so I picked up some first aid tips.

[ He smiles a little. ]

I like to think I can be pretty good at whatever I put my mind to.

[ Fai turns to leave, but he somehow trips over his feet and the suddenly clumsiness means he can’t easily catch himself. ]

He walks over to Fai and holds his uninjured hand out to him. ]

Looks like you'll have to put your mind to not being so clumsy then.

[ Fai practically pouts up at him. ]

As if I had a choice! You know there’s been something going on with all of us.

[ He takes Hien’s hand and pulls himself up, falling against him as he misjudges the momentum he needed. Clumsiness strikes again… ]

Aren't I the patient here?

[ When Fai falls on him, Hien manages to stand his ground and pick Fai up bridal style. ]

There. Now you can stop fumbling over your noodle legs.

[ Fai can’t help but be surprised when he’s suddenly in Hein’s arms like this… he feels a little awkward about it too, as he swings his legs a little. ]

Would you really say they’re like noodles…

[ That’s so unappealing. ]

You're really thin. I'd make you eat more but I know you're healthy.

[ Time to go to the dorms!! ]

[ Hmph! ]

And how do you know I’m healthy?

[selfconcept]

You're very physically fit and it showed when I was sparring with you. I saw you nail an egg at Luci even though he was so far away too.

[ Nice shot. ]

It was impressive.

[ It gave him dokis. ]

Oh, you saw that?

[ He laughs a little, wondering how Hien felt seeing him get pelted with eggs after that. ]

It wasn’t hard, since I’ve practiced archery for a while.

[ It was funny... but he won't say that. ]

A good sharpshooter, huh? I'd say pitching and shooting an arrow are two different things though.

Yeah, they are. I have good accuracy and a lot of arm strength, though.

[ He grins, tilting his head and resting it against Hien’s shoulder. ]
