02 - week two
WEEK TWO
When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.
Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.
Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.
Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.
Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.
Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.
SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY
TASK LIST
CLUMSINESS AFFECT DETAILS (BEGINS TUESDAY ICLY)
W2 CYOA SIGNUPS

W3 CYOA SIGNUPS
CYOA Signups for Week 3 close Friday, June 3rd at 6pm EST.

I looked around the stationery shop the other day, since I was in there for a while. I found a few IDs, a wallet, and a backpack. I only have the IDs with me, but when I went through the backpack, it looked like someone had left the shop in the middle of their shift and never came back. The water bottle was only half empty and they had all of their money still in their wallet. It was quite strange!
[ And... Fai reaches into his pocket, pulling out a phone. ]
I also found this phone sitting on a chair in the back room. If anyone wants to take a look at it, you're more than welcome to!
[ Unfortunately, Fai is not good enough at technology to do his own little investigation on it. ]

that aside, IDs you say? ]
What are the names on the IDs?
no subject
Nothing I really recognized. One of them is a student of this school, another seems to live in this city, and the last one seems to be from out of town.
no subject
Neither of them look like Sage.
[ hmmm. ]
She mentioned being with four other people when the "events" started to happen. I wonder if these are photos of them or just the faces of unfamiliar victims of whatever happened here.

Maybe... [ though given how these npcs weren't supposed to be important due to words from mods— ] I wonder if they might unlock something that we might stumble upon later.

( she had wanted to look for a break room or locker room, but then something else happened entirely. as it does. )

[ sometimes things just happen and it's okay. though what an interesting selection of keys... ]
Given our most recent results thus far, I kind of hope we find more people who have made it through that event unharmed.

[ He opens up the wallet, and inside is a picture of a little dog. ]
no subject
No, she didn't mention anything about a dog. We didn't speak to her for too long since we wanted to get her a few things.
[ motions to the big meal, drinks, and plenty of clothes that shizuku brought back to sage for answering all of their questions and trusting them. and in light of mod commentary about these npcs in particular: ]
...unfortunately, I think it might be a bit traumatic to ask her about these people. When I asked if it was safe to assume the people she was with were dead, her reaction was what you could expect.

[ He sighs softly, settling back against the couch. ]
We at least know there were people working at the mall up until what seems like semi-recently, and that they disappeared suddenly, since they left important things like IDs and cash behind.
[ And the stuff Hien found on the phone too… ]
no subject
Yeah, it all fits in with Sage's account on the matter as well.
In the room she has taken refuge and barricaded had supplies for about a month or so which maybe might be a good place to start the timeline between "The Event" and now.
[ fingers making the air quotes. ]
no subject
I agree.
[ Hmmm... ]
With that newspaper, I wonder if we could even figure out the exact date here. Useful or not, it could be good to know.

[Should this actually sound dramatically familiar. Hm.]
no subject
Yes?
no subject
I mean, there were four of us, right? In a barfight with Sage there? So if it's some sort of weird mass possession or brainwashing event or something shady like that! [why does he say this so cheerfully] Then we might have been looking at the way Sage remembered things.
(In a really annoying way, but.)
no subject
well. he is certainly something, isn't he? sadly, it's not like what tama points out isn't exactly wrong or a bad theory there are just a few things that are...questionable. ]
Perhaps...
However, I don't think she would have ordered 20 pizzas and invited over an entire swim team for a rowdy time in a karaoke bar. [ closes eyes but mentally. ] ...or maybe she did. It's not as though I know her well enough to make any certain judgments.
[ imagine if that was how it happened in real life. ]
no subject
[ He rambled about technology stuff as his contribution. Let him help. ]
no subject
[ He hands it over. ]
Have at it.

[ Hien will turn the phone on. Let's get started. ]
no subject
There’s a handful of apps on the phone, most of which aren’t anything too notable.
There is one, though, that is suspicious for the lack of name and blank icon.]

It's much more barebones than the Stellify app also on the phone. Sad.]
