[Well, unless Marcus is going to scruff Phantom like a kitten, he's heading in to check it out. He doesn't know well enough to be cautious, and if he doesn't hear machinery running right now, it's probably fine!

There's nothing stopping them from stepping in, but if Phantom allows the door to to shut behind him he will hear a hiss as the decontamination process starts.
It'll take 30 seconds, and both doors to the room will be locked during those 30 seconds.]

[Thirty seconds is long enough for Phantom to contemplate scaling Marcus in alarm, but not long enough to actually do it. He flinches a few times and tries the far doors.]
...That was a bit underwhelming if it was a trap.
[Unless it was a slow-acting poison or something. Who knows what just happened, escaping now is more important.]
Somehow I doubt the doors would unlock if it were actually a trap.
[But he's going to be doing a quick look around for any sort of hidden devices or weapons just in case, because it not being an obvious trap doesn't mean it might not still be a trap of some sort.]
[His snooping turns up nothing, and the two of them will find that all they've done is... find another way into the room that Fai and Hien are in.
It's an incredibly inefficient layout, but from their angle it will be more obviously apparent that the machine/structure in the middle has been damaged, with minute cracks on the lower half.]
[Machine/structure! Phantom sees nothing else for the moment because he's heading right for that to check it out. Any indication what did that damage, and how extensive is it?]

There's the chance there's more damage under the surface, as well, and there's still the lingering smell of burnt plastic near it. It seems possible to repair, though, with the right materials or enough time.
