FINAL WEEK

You returned safely from the island, with fresh fruit and plenty of seafood, and your Saturday comes to an end. There was much less betrayal, much less turmoil, this past lesson… but does that mean you’ll have time to relax?

The fog has pulled back, revealing the rest of the university’s campus. ... Actually, the fog is completely gone. Interesting, that. You'll also notice that at night, there are no orbs to be found. It looks like Lorelei was true to her word regarding Saturday's activity being the final orb.

There are also, occasionally, other figures that come into view when you look around. Other figures that look like...people. People you haven't seen before, roaming the streets. Some of them look like they're seeing Estelline for the first time in a long while. Others look like they're exhausted and seem to be making their way towards the Residential Area, presumably to rest. There aren't many of them, come Sunday...but they're here.

The end is finally near – and Lorelei confirms that with another 8am announcement on Sunday. She is also, notably, wearing a more visible set of earrings.

"Good morning, students. I would like to formally congratulate you on surviving these last few weeks. This week should be your last, and I will be dedicating it to your evaluations. I'm aware that you know the nature of this "course" by now, but you will be able to return home soon. Regardless, I thank you for your participation.

[ He sidles right on up to Gentaro, trying to get a better look at the box and the paints. ]

Oh? What kind of secrets?

[catarou]

That would be up to its keeper.

[ The green and purple match his own colors--his eyes and the lining of his cape--but the red and yellow... they should be more than familiar, really, because they closely resemble the eye colors of someone here. ]

I admit, I'm not at all experienced in this sort of thing. So long as it's sturdy, I imagine that's what's most important.

I agree. That’s most important.

[ The colors sure are… interesting. Fai immediately associates the green and purple with Gentaro, but the other two…

Interesting. ]

Who is it for?

[ He smiles a little, the look in his eyes an indication that he’s got an idea. ]

[ Gentaro hums as he glances at him, amused. ]

Haven't you heard that it's rude to ask questions you know the answer to?

Now, Gentaro, shouldn't you know by now that I enjoy asking rude questions?

[ But that basically confirms it for him.

That's certainly a pair he never expected. ]

But, please, do answer me. I'll even let you ask a rude question in return.

[ He can't help but chuckle. ]

Well, how can I argue that? [ His eyes widen in faux shock. ] Rude? Me? Ever since my birth, I have never dreamed of being rude, nor have I breathed a single rude word. Why, a rude thought has never once crossed my mind!

[ Yeah, sure. Anyway... embarrassingly, he looks pretty fond. Disgusting. ]

I suppose I'll confirm what you undeniably know. It's for Owen.

[partymagician]

[ Gentaro's obviously fake shock makes Fai laugh, but then the fond look in his eyes keeps him from continuing the joke. ]

I'll be honest, when I realized I was quite surprised. I didn't expect the two of you to be so close.

[ ... ]

But I can see it.

[catarou]

[ He clears his throat lightly, and not even Gentaro can conceal the slight color in his cheeks. ]

I'm still surprised, myself. We do make quite the unlikely pair. Then again, I've never conformed to any sort of expectations.

Neither have I, so I understand.

[ The way his cheeks turn just a little bit pink is cute, and it makes Fai smile. ]

I sincerely hope the two of you make one another happy.
