FINAL WEEK

You returned safely from the island, with fresh fruit and plenty of seafood, and your Saturday comes to an end. There was much less betrayal, much less turmoil, this past lesson… but does that mean you’ll have time to relax?

The fog has pulled back, revealing the rest of the university’s campus. ... Actually, the fog is completely gone. Interesting, that. You'll also notice that at night, there are no orbs to be found. It looks like Lorelei was true to her word regarding Saturday's activity being the final orb.

There are also, occasionally, other figures that come into view when you look around. Other figures that look like...people. People you haven't seen before, roaming the streets. Some of them look like they're seeing Estelline for the first time in a long while. Others look like they're exhausted and seem to be making their way towards the Residential Area, presumably to rest. There aren't many of them, come Sunday...but they're here.

The end is finally near – and Lorelei confirms that with another 8am announcement on Sunday. She is also, notably, wearing a more visible set of earrings.

"Good morning, students. I would like to formally congratulate you on surviving these last few weeks. This week should be your last, and I will be dedicating it to your evaluations. I'm aware that you know the nature of this "course" by now, but you will be able to return home soon. Regardless, I thank you for your participation.

[ On Tuesday, Chongyun, Sabo, Marcus and Hien will go missing at 6am. When they return at 8am, they are back, safe and sound in their beds, with or without their weapons. What a restful sleep! ]

[ Hien is so glad that he's back here, so he'll just keep sleeping--now with Fai in his snuggling hold.

zzz... ]

[ The party has disbanded and Chongyun's back? And wide awake clutching his weapon. The first thing he's going to do is wake Xingqiu up and tell him everything, though the veracity of his tale might be called into question. ]

[ was it really a restful sleep?

but suppose all's well that ends' well as hopefully ace didn't actually wake up when sabo suddenly vanishes from his side and leaves and empty space where he would be. may this be a good time for ace's "dead to the world" sleep to come in handy and if it isn't then, uh, oops?

regardless, sabo is very sore when he "shows back up" and now has his metal pipe in bed with him but it will only be for a few short moments as he'll knock it off onto the floor with a solid thump. the question then becomes if he wants to go back to sleep or if he wants to stay awake and until he decides, he'll just relax on the bed. ]

[ at first ace had slept through it until sabo had gotten banged up. he's debating if he should get up or wait here and he's going to have faith in sabo coming back okay.

what he doesn't expect is that sabo returns right to bed. he's still rather sleepy and immediately wraps his arms around sabo and pulls him close. in a tired voice he asks: ]

Where'd you go?

[ obviously it was some random place again. ]

[ being wrapped up in ace's arms is a fine solution to any questions that he was asking himself as he readjusts himself and snuggles in closer. he'll do his best not to wince too much as he does. ]

[ there will be a bit more careful shuffling as sabo brings a hand to rest the side of ace's face and brushes away a few stray hairs. ]

How awake are you?

[ at least he's trying to be careful with what he's doing since he can feel the discomfort from sabo. ]

Half awake.

[ so, really, for him he could either go back to snoozing very easily or he could be bullied into getting up. depends on what sabo wants. ]

Mmhm. [ sabo hums in acknowledgement. he knows that didn't further elaborate on whatever ace might have wanted to know but sabo has a feeling that ace wouldn't question it as much as he would have in the same position.

speaking of, he continues to debate the pros and cons of fully waking up then to weighing it against the pros and cons of adding ace into that combination. given the higher quality of sleep that he's getting this week compared to last, a little sleeping in for a day wouldn't kill him. ] ...but we don't have to talk about it if you want to go back to sleep.

[ hmmm. ]

I also don't want to be responsible for any kind of weird dreams you'd have from being told about how Lorelei's humanity took shape of a badger.

[ ace lifts his head enough to give sabo a bit of a look at that response. ]

You've already put that thought into my head.

[ now that'll randomly be there rent free. not that having talking animals is such a weird thing, but. this is a little different than that.

but as far as further sleeping goes... ]

Are you planning to go back to sleep?

[ and as ace does this, sabo will meet his gaze with an all too telling smirk on his face. he knew what he did when he said the words that he said. now if ace would dare to ask him if he felt bad about it... well.

the look is probably all over his face of what he thinks of it all. ]

Maybe that was intentional.

[ though at ace's question and less him being cheeky about everything, he'll softly hum for a moment as he considers the his options. sleep is nice but being awake is important. he'll let his hand drop from ace's face and back onto the bed with a thump. ]

I haven't decided yet.

[ wow, how rude of him to do that kind of thing. but it's not really surprising with how they are with each other. teasing and toying with one another, that's just the way they are. and he'd do the same if the positions were reversed.

all he does about the planted image is grumble a bit before curling up more to sabo. it's nice and warm like this. he can't help it. ]

Yeah? Is it that hard of a choice?

[ exactly. and ace might not have been as generous as sabo is given how easy it is for him to just fall asleep in comparison. ...not that sabo can't pass out quickly himself which is definitely a thing that's becoming increasingly easier and more tempting as ace pulls him closer curls in. ]

It shouldn't be, but you're making it a very difficult choice.

[ sabo tiredly fakes a tone that would be akin to someone being offended except it comes off exceptionally poorly as he's not even bothering to try. though, more seriously, he murmurs the following words softly as he also soaks in the warmth. ]

This is the last week that we have here. After whatever ends up happening...who knows what will really end up happening.
