After a positively thrilling game of the prisoner's dilemma, it's all over. Everyone needs to get patched up, recover and... hopefully not kill each other after everything. At some point in the cafeteria, Shizuku and Madara have taken over the kitchen- though help won't be denied completely- and leaving a large meal of noodles and whatever else they can still use from Fai and Shizuku's little shopping trip... not a lot of fresh food, but it works out. There's also plenty of coffee, a tea kettle and even hot chocolate ready. (Shizuku herself is using her ill-gotten tapioca balls for some homemade boba, hell yeah.) Team Idol may not stick around for long, but there's plenty to go around for now... and Shizuku will happily bring over some snacks from the convenience store too. And did you know that place has a milkshake machine? Because it does. Get you a milkshake, people.

But tensions are high after everything. Hopefully this doesn't become a murdergame.

as for the food, he acts like he might offer some to sabo before chomping down on it and eating for himself. just because he was told he should do it more, it doesn't mean he is going to. ]

also wow!!!! the things that sabo does for ace!!! if he looks mildly displeased it's because he, in fact, mildly displeased. but not to the point where he is actually upset. he will reach out and pinch ace's cheek, however. ]

[ he laughs about that, despite the cheek pinching. besides, sabo picked this guy to accept as his sworn brother.

but after that, he does pick up some finger food and offer it out to sabo for him to eat. ]

[ he accepted ace before he swore himself to being family with him, thank you. you know, much like how ace accepted (brushed off) sabo's less than stellar genetic composition. (or exceptional. depending on who you'd ask, of course.)

either way, he'll take the finger food, happily. ...and if he bites one of ace's fingers as "revenge" then. oops :) ]

[ wow be nice to him? he only did it because ace was being a brat, but he will move out of the way before ace gets to flick him on the nose.

Nothing. If you want to do something about it you can, and if you don't then you don't have to.

[ and with that, sabo will lean back in where he is seated (SINCE I'M SURE THEY ARE SEATED SOMEWHERE) and go back to being content with observing ace being...ace.

no jokes, no teasing, no traces or signs of being passive-aggressive (not that sabo would know how). he'll just enjoy the moment. ]

Nothing? [ he's a little surprised by that answer. he takes another big bite of his food before setting it aside for a moment and sprawling across the table that they're at. ]

You can occasionally ask for things for yourself.

[ like, not just things like "clean up after yourself." sometimes he doesn't know what sabo wants. even if he claims he wants nothing here. ]

and while ace sprawls out and keeps helping himself out to the food cooked for them, sabo will casually push his uneaten food towards ace. it's not that he's full but as another distraction as sabo laughs at ace's reminder that it was fine to ask for things. funny to hear those words from ace of all people.. ]

I know, but I think the things I ask for are pretty big.

[ freedom for himself, freedom for the people who are oppressed... a world free from tyrants... to be able to see his brother's dream come true. to see another brother once more...

he'll flash ace a smile. ]

[ listen. it's one thing for someone else to ask for things and it's another for him to ask for things. big difference. it's just how it goes. ]

[ he picks up a piece of the food to pop it into his mouth, chewing idly. ]

[ hmm. pot and kettle then? though sabo does ask for things. he just askes for things that tend to be rather lofty than anything really tangible.

...most of the time anyway. ]

Maybe, but I'll just take what you have to say at face value.

[ 'cause he doesn't want to keep badgering sabo out of something he's not sure about. ]

[ MAYBE HE SHOULD...but since ace isn't going to keep pushing, sabo's just going to smile to himself and look down at the table. ]

I wouldn't mind being surprised every once in a while by you. Especially if it was in a good way.
