everybody's fine 'cause it's party time ( W5 AFTERPARTY )

After a positively thrilling game of the prisoner's dilemma, it's all over. Everyone needs to get patched up, recover and... hopefully not kill each other after everything. At some point in the cafeteria, Shizuku and Madara have taken over the kitchen- though help won't be denied completely- and leaving a large meal of noodles and whatever else they can still use from Fai and Shizuku's little shopping trip... not a lot of fresh food, but it works out. There's also plenty of coffee, a tea kettle and even hot chocolate ready. (Shizuku herself is using her ill-gotten tapioca balls for some homemade boba, hell yeah.) Team Idol may not stick around for long, but there's plenty to go around for now... and Shizuku will happily bring over some snacks from the convenience store too. And did you know that place has a milkshake machine? Because it does. Get you a milkshake, people.

But tensions are high after everything. Hopefully this doesn't become a murdergame.

[ Hmph. He lets go of the spoon. It didn't break, but it sure feels... loose somehow. ]

Since you have enough energy to fuck around and find out, feed me more already.

And what exactly am I finding out?

[ He gathers more food on his... loose spoon. ]

I'm more worried about your teeth than anything else.

My teeth are strong. It'll be fine.

[ He takes a bite. Delicious.

But then Hien grabs Fai by the collar to pull him closer so that he can kiss him.

Guess that's what he's finding out. ]

[ They're strong until they aren't... is what Fai would say if Hien didn't kiss him almost immediately.

Really, he doesn't mind this being the thing he's finding out. He smiles against Hien's lips in amusement as his free hand settles on the back of his neck. ]

[ Hien pulls away and puts his forehead against Fai's. ]

You're worried about other things all the time. I wish you could worry a little about yourself too.

[partymagician]

[ He lets out a soft sigh. ]

I never have. It's practically ingrained in me to worry about others.

[ He pauses. ]

But I can try, for you.

[selfconcept]

You can worry about both if you really wanted to, but if you can't take care of yourself, then you can't take care of other people.

[ He thinks that's sound logic enough. ]

[partymagician]

[ It's very sound logic. So much so that Fai looks a little exasperated. ]

Ah... well, you've got me there. I don't think I can argue against that.

I'm gonna keep telling you that until I can drill it into your head.

Anyway. ]

Is there more food?

[partymagician]

I have dessert.

[ A single cookie, a small slightly sweet thing for Hien to cap off his meal with.

He holds it up for Hien to eat. ]

[ He tries to take a bite out of the cookie. Better not swipe it away— ]

[ Luckily for Hien, Fai doesn't move to take it. ]

Good?

[ It's just a cookie from one of the basic boxes of cookies at the supermarket. ]

... Yeah.

[ He looks a little pensive for a moment. ]

It doesn't taste like your cookies.

[partymagician]

Because it's not! It's from a box I took from the supermarket.

[ He definitely grabbed Hien to come help him with the extremely overfilled cart he parked out in front of the dorms... ]

Oh.

[ No wonder it seemed kinda stale... still good though. ]

Good to know my taste buds are still working.

[partymagician]

[ He grins as he sets the tray on Hien's desk. ]

Do you wish it was mine?

[selfconcept]

Yeah. I told you, didn't I?

[ That he'd love to eat Fai's cookies every day... ]

[partymagician]

[ He laughs... then immediately goes into a coughing fit. ]

Well, I think I'll be out of commission when it comes to making those for a few days.

[selfconcept]

[ He let the last one slide, but now he gets out of bed to give Fai a water bottle. ]

It's fine. Just drink this.

[partymagician]

[ He takes a few long pulls after he uncaps the bottle before setting it back down on the desk. ]

...Thanks. I might not feel pain right now, but I can tell my body is suffering.

[selfconcept]

I bet. My body wants to hibernate several years after that.

[ Sucks that he doesn't have regeneration, but oh well. He guides Fai to his respective bed. ]

So you should rest now.

[partymagician]

[ He lets Hien lead him to his bed, but he also looks at him. ]

...You don't want to sleep together?

[selfconcept]

... Oh.

[ He's not used to that, so he completely forgot that was a thing. ]

No, um... we can.

[ He's so awkward because he's the one who led Fai to the bed, but just decides to forego it so that he can drag Fai to his own bed with ten comfy pillows and other miscellaneous other pillows and cushions he got from the common area. ]

[partymagician]

Are you sure you don't mind...?

[ Because he's being awkward about it now.

And also those sure are a lot of pillows. He noticed them earlier, but now that he's in Hien's bed, it feels like so much more. ]

I don't mind.

[ He even wraps his arms around Fai's torso and pulls him close after they're under the blanket. ]
