05 - week five

WEEK FIVE

Come Sunday morning, the portals around Estelline fade away, but not all of the oddities hanging around disappear so quickly. The recreations of your dreams and memories are still around, ever changing and shifting. Whatever it is that brought these things here hasn’t ended, not yet.

You don’t have time to worry about all of that, though, even if you know you should exercise caution once two of you found yourselves on the bad end of a monster’s claws. The course still isn’t over, though, even if the portals changed lesson plans. Everything continues on, with new places to explore as the fog pushes back once again. This week still feels a little more like what you’re familiar with, though, after Saturday’s lack of lessons.

...I see. Well, it also so happens that the weather is getting bad, so fortunately for you we should be wrapping this up.

[ He will move over to the ropes, preparing to untie him at least. ]

You must understand, we've been going through a rough time. On more than one occasion our lives have been threatened in the name of an experiment we have had no choice in agreeing to. We have been left vulnerable, without abilities that can make us better able to navigate or combat the supernatural aspects of this place.

And quite frankly, two of us have nearly died last week. So, I do admit that while my actions may not have been the best, they aren't without reason.

Anyway, I'm not looking for petty revenge against someone like you. Just information.

[ Xingqiu admittedly felt a little desperate after the fact Chongyun nearly died last week. So he did throw some caution to the wind. But he has no regrets, and he thinks they do have enough information now.

So, he will finish untying the ropes. ]

...Well, you're not one of the leaders so no one really is interested in actually doing much other than asking you questions for information. Trust me when I say I know the others good enough after five weeks of this. We've been really starved for details! But, I suppose if you want to believe otherwise, that's up to you.

[ This rain makes him really wish for his Hydro Vision to be back, though. ]

[He absolutely doesn't believe he'll be safe, but, like. He's not going to look a gift horse in the mouth and will beat a quick retreat.

It's definitely raining now, though it's not quite bad enough to be a storm.]
