WEEK FIVE

Come Sunday morning, the portals around Estelline fade away, but not all of the oddities hanging around disappear so quickly. The recreations of your dreams and memories are still around, ever changing and shifting. Whatever it is that brought these things here hasn’t ended, not yet.

You don’t have time to worry about all of that, though, even if you know you should exercise caution once two of you found yourselves on the bad end of a monster’s claws. The course still isn’t over, though, even if the portals changed lesson plans. Everything continues on, with new places to explore as the fog pushes back once again. This week still feels a little more like what you’re familiar with, though, after Saturday’s lack of lessons.

I would like some feedback on how you feel about this... "course".

Hm. I met new people. I learned how to get over a big thing about my past.

Do you think that's because of this "bond" you have now?

Or do you mean relationships in general?

Yes, that. Your relationships are irrelevant.

[ Hien walks up to him and slaps his face. ]

Well, the guy wasn't expecting that, and he grimaces as he raises a hand to his cheek.]

It seems this is going poorly, then...

Idiot. The "bonds" are only accessories to relationships. Anyone can overcome hardships without being linked to share pain. Don't you dare say relationships are irrelevant again.

I don't have a home world.

No. I only got over the thing I said earlier because of the relationship I had with another person because I came here. While I'm thankful for the course because it let us meet, the bond, is irrelevant.

You should be, because struggling personally is what the bond has us do: suffering together. I can't believe someone like you has been tasked to survey us without knowing that. You suck.

I'm not the one who started all of this! It's not like this was my idea, and I'm not the one who wants to know the answers to all of this!
