04 - week four

WEEK FOUR

Saturday comes to a close, and it’s time for some rest and recovery. Perhaps the TLC you deserve will come this week, or perhaps the nightmare will continue. It’s hard to say with things being so strange around you, from Wei Wuxian’s disappearance to the sudden addition of objects and places and creatures from your homes. Who knows what this week will bring? Nothing ordinary, that’s for sure.

You wake up on Sunday to an increase in those little glimpses you saw yesterday. What were snippets of songs, locations that might’ve seemed familiar, and creatures that were dormant, are now all alive and whole. When you go to the karaoke bar, the songs you once knew are there. Monsters and animals are alive and sentient. New business are abound. Vehicles are operable, and perhaps some of your old belongings are back, too.

However, some of these things aren’t even things that should exist outside of your dreams. They may be far too strange and unusual to be real, or just things you don't remember ever seeing. The only thing you remember about these things in particular is that they were, quite literally, in your dreams this week.

That being said, every few hours, all of these things from your homes and dreams fade out and get replaced by new sounds, places, beasts….only to maybe come back again at another time.

Well. At least there's one constant here: You’ve got a handful of new locations to look at, with the fog having spread once more, and they aren't going anywhere. There aren’t as many new places that are native to Estelline this time around, but that may be for the best, considering everything going on.

Also, we have a lot of participants for the news activity from last week. Neat! Everyone who participated in some capacity will have a small polaroid camera delivered to their doorstep. There's limited film, though - 10 photos per camera. It doesn't seem like there's any extra film at this time, either.

Finally, there will not be any weekly tasks this week. You guys are going to be busy with memshare and dreamscape stuff; instead, enjoy the Estelline University Newspaper!

You're such a weird human. How did you even get here anyway? There's nothing of interest to you. We're literally just a bunch of small animals going to school.

Strange of you to think that a school of small animals isn't of interest to anyone.

[ He nuzzles Hien. So cute!! ]

I'm not really a human, you know.

[ Hien called him a mage, after all. ]

[ Hien says the deepest sigh that a pomchi can ever muster. ]

Fine. Humanoid. Better?

Much better!

[ Time for more kisses to the top of his head. ]

Ugh, stop that. Look at all these baby animals around you. Give them kisses instead.

[ They just stare up at Fai as if to ask when is it their turn... ]

[partymagician]

I am kind of ignoring them, aren't I? That's not very fair.

[ But there are so many that he can't give kisses to all of them...

So Fai very carefully sits on the ground so he can lay back, setting Hien down on his chest. ]

[ Unfortunately that means the baby animals are going to climb all over Fai. Hien gets knocked off, but it's fine. ]

[ Fai is in heaven right now.

He laughs whenever they climb on him, occasionally reaching out to hold one of them up. ]

Hehe, that tickles!

[ Puppies lick his face, kittens bake bread on Fai's stomach, baby birds perch somewhere a little higher so they can look on in safety, and more. It really is a heaven for animal lovers right now.

Hien goes back to sitting alone and watching over everyone, because that's what he's supposed to do. Fai is surely loved... ]

[ He's truly having the best time in the world right now. When he realizes Hien is sitting alone, however, he reaches out a hand. ]

Come on, Hien!

I don't like crowds.

[ Hien mumbles.

Hyunjung the pomchi flops on Fai's chest.

"He's very serious about his Guardian role!" ]

[ He gives Hyunjung some scratches behind his ears. ]

Oh? Does he defend all of you from threats?

[selfconcept]

[ "Yeah! He protects us very well! There aren't many threats like enemies, but sometimes the weather gets weird or somebody might be acting up."

Hyunjung loves the scratches behind his ears and leans into the touch. ]

[ Fai keeps scratching him. Hyunjung is so cute… ]

Wow, how impressive~ He really is a good guardian.

[ He turns his head to look over at Hien, as much as he can with baby animals in his face. ]

[ Hien looks back at Fai while another puppy decidedly flops over Fai's face. He almost snorts. ]

[ Fai sputters, lifting the little puppy off his face and giving their head a quick kiss. ]

You’re all so cute! Too bad I can’t take you home with me~

[ And this memory will probably end before he can anyway. Totally worth stepping into a portal for, though. ]

[ They wanna go with Fai and see the world!! Alas, the school bell rings and they all say bye to Fai before heading into the building. Recess is over.

Except Hien. He just stays where he is and watching everyone else leave. ]

Died and gone to heaven, huh?

[partymagician]

[ Fai waves all of them off, not bothering to get up off the ground just yet. ]

Yep! Nothing better than something like that, if you ask me.

[selfconcept]

[ Hien hops off and toddles towards Fai, sitting in front of him. ]

What brings you here, traveller? There's really nothing of importance here...

Well, I came here to see all the cute animals.

[ He smiles. ]

I stayed because I got to see you as a puppy.

[selfconcept]

... Do you know me?

[ Hien the pomchi squints at Fai. ]

[partymagician]

I do! We meet sometime in the future.

[ He has no clue how far back this memory is for Hien. ]

[selfconcept]

... That shouldn't be possible.

[ Hien feels a little wary, but Fai has shown that he means no harm. ]

Using a pick up line on a dog. Shame on you.
