WEEK FOUR

Saturday comes to a close, and it’s time for some rest and recovery. Perhaps the TLC you deserve will come this week, or perhaps the nightmare will continue. It’s hard to say with things being so strange around you, from Wei Wuxian’s disappearance to the sudden addition of objects and places and creatures from your homes. Who knows what this week will bring? Nothing ordinary, that’s for sure.

You wake up on Sunday to an increase in those little glimpses you saw yesterday. What were snippets of songs, locations that might’ve seemed familiar, and creatures that were dormant, are now all alive and whole. When you go to the karaoke bar, the songs you once knew are there. Monsters and animals are alive and sentient. New business are abound. Vehicles are operable, and perhaps some of your old belongings are back, too.

However, some of these things aren’t even things that should exist outside of your dreams. They may be far too strange and unusual to be real, or just things you don't remember ever seeing. The only thing you remember about these things in particular is that they were, quite literally, in your dreams this week.

That being said, every few hours, all of these things from your homes and dreams fade out and get replaced by new sounds, places, beasts….only to maybe come back again at another time.

Well. At least there's one constant here: You’ve got a handful of new locations to look at, with the fog having spread once more, and they aren't going anywhere. There aren’t as many new places that are native to Estelline this time around, but that may be for the best, considering everything going on.

Also, we have a lot of participants for the news activity from last week. Neat! Everyone who participated in some capacity will have a small polaroid camera delivered to their doorstep. There's limited film, though - 10 photos per camera. It doesn't seem like there's any extra film at this time, either.

Finally, there will not be any weekly tasks this week. You guys are going to be busy with memshare and dreamscape stuff; instead, enjoy the Estelline University Newspaper!

[ He smiles. ]

I stayed because I got to see you as a puppy.

[ Hien the pomchi squints at Fai. ]

I do! We meet sometime in the future.

[ He has no clue how far back this memory is for Hien. ]

... That shouldn't be possible.

[ Hien feels a little wary, but Fai has shown that he means no harm. ]

Using a pick up line on a dog. Shame on you.

Gross.

[ That's it. That's the tag. ]

[ shame!!!! ]

I'm not lying when I said I'm from the future, you silly little puppy.

[ Hmm... hmm... how can he prove it... ]

You don't like pumpkin spice lattes, but you do like anything with a honeydew flavor.

That doesn't prove that you're from the future. It just shows that you know things about me.

[ He puts a paw on Fai's foot. ]

[ He glances down at Hien. What is that paw doing? ]

What would prove it?

[ Definitely not unhanding Fai's foot. ]

... It's fine. It doesn't matter anyway.

[ At this point, he thinks Fai is just another person that he probably forgot somehow. It's been ages and so many things happened. He doesn't want to use Memory powers for this. ]

But I guess you liked me, considering how you're acting.

[ He doesn't want threats in baby animal world. ]

I did. You left a good impression.

[ Since Hien won’t let go, Fai sits up to scoop him up into his arms. ]

I'm glad... I guess.

[ It shouldn't be weird having a person know him while it isn't the case the other way around, but there's something about this that seems... odd.

So he tries standing on Fai's arms in order to sniff his face. He's too small for that though... ]

[ He can tell Hien is trying to sniff his face, so Fai lifts him up so that he can. ]

There.

[ Where's the ground!! Hien squirms a little in Fai's hold, but sniffs his face anyway. ]

You don't smell familiar...

[ ... ]

But you smell nice.

Do I really?

[ He laughs softly. ]

I didn't put on any cologne or anything.

Good. I hate cologne.

[ He paws at Fai's face. ]

I'm super cute, aren't I?

[ He holds Hien a bit further away so he can't reach Fai's face. ]

You are~ The cutest little puppy!

[ Hien squirms in Fai's hold, but he'll be able to see his paw pads clearly, even if his fur is poofy.

He even makes a cute whine. ]

So cute!

[ Fai sets Hien back down so he can lightly take one of his paws in his hand, gently squishing his paw pads. ]

[ Hien whines even more while trying to dig at Fai's pants. Fiend!!! ]

Hehe...

[ He stops and scratches behind Hien's ears. ]

Hmph.

[ Though he leans into that touch. If he was a cat, he'd be purring. ]

[ So! Cute! ]

Is there anything you'd like to know about the future or my thoughts on you?

[ With the way Hien is, Fai assumes he'll say no. ]

[ Fai would be right. ]

No, I don't wanna know. If you got thoughts, just tell them to the me you know.

[ Spit it out, homie. ]

I think I will.

[ He lifts Hien up to give one last kiss to the top of his head before setting him down. ]
