3.0 - week three
WEEK THREE
Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional
toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…
But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.
There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.
As always, Florence and Lorelei are available.
SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY
TASK LIST
( OOC Note: Luci, Mutsu, and Mae will each receive a small roomba! Congrats on the successful egg drop. It's a tiny little friend that cleans extra well, though this also means its trash compartment is a little smaller so it'll need to be cleaned more often. )

(Interesting that the last 9 centuries are so peaceful?)
I wonder how they kept so many people all nice and peaceful for so long, though. (That's such a long time! He kind of expects something to go wrong? But maybe he's just used to more violent times...) Like trying to force everyone to feel a certain way to get something in particular?
(Yeah, mod-chans, is there anything else around to poke at a glance? Extra exhibit doors, any extra funky models, etc.......)

[ well, sabo's going to wander over towards the other side of the floor taking note of what he ends up passing by. ]
If it's known that emotions can have that big of an effect on an area and the land itself, I imagine that people would start to become cautious about how they feel for certain sized gatherings.
[ but mutsu does bring up a point? if anything, it makes him wonder how things would actually seem like if there were people here. would that all be fake happy just for the sake of peace? ]

(But okay let's check the other side of the floor just to see what's over here???)

Most of the exhibit is ancient items ranging from military uniforms to everyday cooking utensils, and there are a few old posters and newspaper articles. Some of them are simple and don't mention emotions much, but it's hard to escape it entirely. At the end of the hall is an exhibit that might be worth taking a closer look at, though. It's titled "A Vision of the Future" and seems out of place in this particular corner of the museum, but maybe whoever donated it was very particular - someone (or something?) known simply as "CAMELLIA".]

[ i have no idea how timelines work but for the sake of things, i'm gonna say that sabo found his fruit trees and sus flyer before he wandered into here with mutsu so he's going to be frowning at the "CAMELLIA". that moment you know you found something that's both inane but also important all at once.
(to answer the matter of emotions, though? depends on which emotions we are talking about here.)
though before we get there, sabo will take a brief moment to glance at the newspapers to see if anything sticks out about them...you know anything Orb related and the like. but, yeah, when he gets to that corner of the museum, he sure is going to see what that's all about. ]
"A Vision of the Future", huh?

(But in a situation like this, the whole point would be to keep emotions down.
He reads over the information they can get from the displays. Ah, that piece about if you should embrace or repress your emotions really sticks to him. It's not like he hasn't had to think about this in one way or another since he was summoned but he'll file that away for now. It might be something they'll have to talk about later.
He follows Sabo over to the last exhibit.)
Makes sense. When ya got people that're always being held back in the moment, there's always gonna be people who wanna imagine the future.
(But what's up with this exhibit!!)

This peaceful time won't last forever.
But what if it could?
In the future, what if we could have life... under control?
This is what we hope for.
And we want you to join us.
It's... more propaganda than exhibit, don't you think?]

okay, sabo is going to pull out the flyer from his coat pocket and unfold it for mutsu to see. the camellia and then the emphasis of having one's life "under control" really not sitting well with him. how deep does this propaganda take them? is this like 1984 level of nonsense? (sabo does not know what 1984 is but i, naru, do.) ]
I think it's safe to have suspicion about how things have managed to stay peaceful for so long, and to believe that they must have a way to control the way people think.
[ he's going to be advancing deeper into the exhibit. ]
...and if this is how they imagine the future to be, then I'm not sure if I stand by it.

He looks down at the flyer and there's this initial moment of surprise! And he frowns,)
So something like this is going on...? (He was just wondering but it kind of sucks to maybe be right,) Can't say I agree either.
But the question now is... how d'ya really control how a bunch of people feel? That ain't natural...
(A GLANCE AT THE EXHIBIT TO SEE IF... there are many any signs in the video? Images? Orbs.....)

It's quite strange. But technology is quite helpful in our day to day lives, isn't it?
(looks at these two canons....................)
That's all they can find in the museum at the moment, overall, but they might get the chance to learn more about Camellia soon... (spooky)]

I'm sure we'll find out, Mu.
[ sabo will not destroy the propaganda but he will not approve of it. ]
We'll definitely need to tell the others about what we've found, or at least, let them know about what could be lurking.
