3.0 - week three

WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

[ He can't help but be amused at the comment, because he's very much aware of his image. ]

Ah, well. This is not the form it takes when I use it. It seems someone has tampered with it, so I am unable to show you firsthand. But rest assured, each microphone takes the form of what suits the user most.

For example, mine becomes a candlestick phone. My speakers, meanwhile, are pedestal lanterns with omikuji flying about them.

You get speakers with it... wow.

[ He can understand the mic's portability, but like. Speakers?? ]

That's pretty cool though. Do you have to carry the speakers around too?

Indeed. The microphone itself cannot amplify our words; therefore, we need the speakers. They too reflect the user.

[ He shakes his head. ]

Conveniently, they appear when we activate our mics. If we had to carry them around, it would be far too much trouble to initiate battles when necessary, especially as quite often, they are spontaneous.

Yeah, I can imagine. You can't just call time out and then drag speakers out to fulfill your rap battles.

[ That would be funny, but super impractical. ]

They sound even more hi-tech than I thought.

Exactly true.

[ He hums softly. ]

It does sound quite fantastical, I suppose. The technology is quite sophisticated. [ He pauses. ] Or so I have heard. However, it isn't difficult to catch onto it when you see them before you. If you would like to see a poor imitation of them, I would not be averse to drawing a few.

I doubt they would be poor imitations, but yeah, I'd like to see how they look like.

[ Hien is curious and he seems fully interested in the concept. Wow him, Gentaro. ]

[ He lets out a quiet laugh. ]

Very well, then. There are quite a few, as there are six divisions with three members each, so... I suppose I shall pick at random.

[ And he draws... uh, this, minus the shady cop. He turns it to Hien so that he can see. ]

As you can see, they're quite large, but this is not the largest of them.

Megaphones... huh. Would you say one of these comes up to your hips from the ground up?
