3.0 - week three

WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

[ Fai shakes his head. ]

Not at all! This is a classic look in a lot of worlds. Many well-dressed men wear something very similar.

[ And he also likes the look a lot in general. ]

I'd like to be able to say the same. Fashion differs wildly from island to island in my world, and most pirates tend to be very flashy.

[ actually a lot of people in his world generally are pretty flashy. ...huh. he's never stopped to think about it until this very moment. then again there were pirates also like ace who wore only the necessary amount of clothing. hmmm. ]

But I'll trust your judgement. [ his wardrobe is in your hands, fai. ] Any other recommendations? If you've grabbed yourself a pile, maybe I should stock up on a few items myself.

Jeans!

[ He gestures to some of the jeans in his little pile. ]

You can't go wrong with those. T-shirts too, for anything comfortable.

[ Fai has a couple of very slightly cropped shirts in his pile, but he won't make Sabo go for those since he's well aware that's not everyone's style. ]

[vivens]

[ cropped shirts would definitely a bold statement for sabo if he were ever going to make one. though they are interesting to him, since, you know fai is already gesturing to his pile, sabo might as well take a look at what the contents are. ]

More form fitting clothes.

[ he means the jeans. though he looks at some leggings that fai also ended up picking up for himself. ]

I imagine if I left wearing some of these things, it would be a bit of a shock to Ace.

[ Fai will even thumb through some of his clothes so that Sabo can get a better look at them. ]

A good or a bad shock...?

[ don't apologize but sabo goes to answer thinking that he would have the answer but—

he doesn't actually know. rather, he isn't entirely sure. part of him wants to say it would be a bad kind of shock but would it? would it really be a bad shock..?

how would ace react to it? ]

I'm not sure.

[ would he just shrug it off? ]

I think it would just be a shock.

That means he needs to see you! Make him come look at clothes with you.

[ He grins. ]

Or just wear this outfit back.

I wouldn't call Ace here just to watch me change.

[ THAT SEEMS EXCESSIVE? also weird..? but also would save him some awkwardness (WAIT WHY IS IT AWKWARD NOW) about walking around in leggings.

...and not a crop top? ]

Would those even work with the shirt that I'm wearing now?

[ button up....with leggings.... sabo exposed. ]

I bet my partner would come here if I called him, so don't feel bad about doing that!

[ And it wouldn't be awkward for Fai! It'd be weird, but not awkward. ]

I would suggest these—

[ He pulls out some dark wash skinny jeans from his pile. ]

Would he? I kind of feel bad for Hien, but it'll be okay. I'll leave Ace out of this.

[ and look, not everyone can be like fai. case in point, he'll look at the skinny jeans and really take a look at them. they're not unfamiliar to him since there are others who wear things like that.

fai sure is enjoying putting him clothes that show off his form, huh? not that sabo hides his physique but he's never thought of showing it off. wait, is this showing it off?? ]

I guess those are better than the other thing I saw.

[ He is absolutely trying to get Sabo to show off his form, albeit in a classy sort of way. It's a good look! ]

Oh, what was the other thing you saw?

[ seen in week four, sabo dressed down form fitting clothes but also giving off a business casual kind of vibe. say goodbye to double breasted vests, long coats, and cravats. ]

From your pile alone— [ he'll point to the crop tops. ] Those.

[ he was referring to the leggings but might as well point those out to fai too since it fits. ]

[ Fai will be so happy... ]

Oh. These shirts?

[ He knows they're a little shorter than most shirts, but he doesn't know the right term for them. ]

They're fun, though. Do you think you couldn't pull it off?

[vivens]

[ sabo brought into the modern world just in time for dreamscape... but uh. um. hmm.

would...sabo look good in the crop top? ]

I'm not even entirely sure how I'm supposed to look in them.

[ He tilts his head a little, looking at Sabo. ]

If you have abs, I imagine a shirt like this would show them off.

[ Just saying. ]

Other than that, they're cute. They feel nice in warm weather too, since they give you more airflow.

I have abs...

[ he'll sound so confused about this. this is a lot of information that he's suddenly having to deal with right now. he's not going down the rabbit hole of "who would i even show these off to" in fear of what that answer would be.

well. maybe not fear but...also maybe fear. ]

Is "cute" the kind of word you want to wear as a guy?

[ fai would absolutely encourage him to think of the answer.....

Why not? I like cute things, so wearing things I deem cute is no problem. After all, I think I'm pretty cute, so it works out~

[ SWEATS PROFUSELY. maybe one day someone can corner sabo and make him think about that, but until then he will not. ]

If you put things that way, then I can't argue with the logic.

[ is this him calling fai cute? no idea. he just can't argue with fai about what he's saying here. ]

[ Fai will absolutely take it as being called cute.

He smiles a little at Sabo. ]

Would you like to try one on, just to see what it would look like on you?

[ this thread has taken a turn, but (un)fortunately sabo doesn't fully see what fai is doing here. ]

I really don't know if something like that would suit someone like me.

[ he's going from being covered up in layers to a button up to something that will show off his midriff... ]

But it's not like it will hurt anyone.

You never know until you try! Cropped shirts can suit anyone.

[ He would have loved to see Kurogane in one. Or Hien.

Anyway.

Fai pulls a bright blue one from his pile and shoves it at Sabo. ]

[ can it though?? sabo has reservations.

there's still time to get hien into a crop top, just sayin', but since fai is just going to pull it out from the pile like that and shove it his way this might as well mean that sabo will go to try it on.

he'll just take off the shirt he was wearing right here front of god and everyone for the crop top because why not? there's nothing that he needs to worry about here. he probably did the same when changed out from his normal clothes to the button up.

needless to say, once he's done changing he'll make a face and tug on the front then the side. ]

It feels weird.

[ Fai nods as Sabo looks at himself with the crop top. This is good, he's a fan. ]

I like it. Is it a good sort of weird?

[ He has a feeling that it is not, but hey! Might as well ask. ]

Do you? I guess if you picked it out for yourself, then that shouldn't be a surprise.

[ though what fai mentioned about showing off his abs being a thing because it is definitely being a thing here. which isn't something that bothers him except... ]

I just feel more exposed like this than I would if I weren't wearing anything at all.

[ Fai nods vigorously, like he’s discussing some sort of important scientific theory. ]

It’s the idea of only exposing a little that probably makes you feel more exposed. It draws attention to that part of your body.
