3.0 - week three

WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

Guess so. Because even if you suck at it, there's always the chance you might kill someone by accident.

[ Yes, he means that as a positive. ]

Hmm. [ Luci pretends to think, tail snaking over with the intention of poking at Fai's sides to investigate. He's not trying to be sneaky or insistent this time, so it's open season on grabs, smacks, or avoidance. Your call, croissant. ]

[ Fai just lets Luci do whatever he wants... unless he does anything that might be ticklish. Then he'll smack Luci away. ]

I suppose that's a benefit. But if it's that bad, I don't know anyone would want to eat it at all.

... tw foodborne illnesses?

[ Luci's angling for some testing jabs to Fai's sides and ribs. Good luck, tail. But it's worth any potential smacks. ]

Who cares if you want to? Good luck telling if it's got salmonella before you shove it in your pie hole.

Ah… you do have a point…

[ He might be pretty skinny, but he is surprisingly solid too. But when Luci continues poking him, Fai opts for pinching him instead of smacking. ]

Ow.

[ That pinch hurt, and Luci nurses his tail when it retreats into his hands. ]

Okay, fine, you aren't just skin and bones. [ Now he's distracted though, leaning forward to look with his tail still in his hands. Forget the cooking.

A pause. ]

Ever consider showing more leg?

[ Fai glances back at him. ]

Why?

[ Of all things, Fai didn’t expect that question. ]

Why not? If you got the gams for it, do it.

[ His tail is still recovering, or he'd smack a calf. ]

I suppose there’s no reason not to… but it’s not like I have a real reason to parade around in anything that would show them off either.

Does anyone need a reason to show off? What ever happened to respecting to golden ratio of stocking, skin, and shorts, huh?

[ All he needed was the knowledge Hien dumped on him, who's sharing a room, and seeing Fai's clothed leggies up close to pull this. Sorry about him. ]

Buuut, if you'd rather be boring... [ Shrug. ]

Hmmm… stockings and shorts are pretty cute.

[ But it’d feel pretty inappropriate to walk around like that. ]

See, you know what I'm talkin' about.

[ Luci says it more like a comrade in stocking wearing, despite not wearing anything ever. ]

You could--nah, I think it's too crazy, you'd never do it. But stick to stockings, shorts, and cooking. It's cute.

[ Actually...

Yeah, it sounds surprisingly flat yet genuine. But he moves on. ]

Is it ready yet?

[partymagician]

[ Hmmm... should Fai combine all three and cook in stockings and shorts? Anyway. ]

[ In fact, Fai will get out a plate. ]

And you never know. I can do some pretty crazy things.

[ But he's not going to push the subject since Luci has already moved on. So, when he deems it ready, Fai slides all of the food onto the plate from the pan after he turns off the stove. ]

Garters and heels.

[ Luci says it flatly under his breath as his eye follows the food. The type of uttering that would get a full volume, innocent "what?" In response to a request for a repeat. Luci is already making the sound effect to go along with his movement towards that plate.

He really hadn't noticed before, but-- ]

Huh, food really does smell better when you're hungry. Weird.

[ But of course, he's got to ruin that genuine discovery with a mention of Hell. ] You know, I always thought humans were lying to get a nicer personal Hell.

[partymagician]

[ Garters and heels, huh? He'll file that idea away for now.

He holds the plate out to Luci. ]

Really? What would they lie about?

[ He knows what Hell is, thankfully, so he doesn't need to ask. And from what he remembers of Luci's profile, the mention of Hell isn't that surprising. ]

[totalcatastrophe]

Pfft. Some greedy assholes get to see and smell all their favorite foods. [ Heh as he takes the plate and goes on, because this is the best part. ] But we never let em eat anything ever again.

Always thought they got it easy.

[ Or instead of all of this, Luci could have just said he likes the way Fai's cooking smells. Either way, his ears are perked up and if there are no utensils then his first bite is... face first but more of what you'd expect from a cat that can hold their own plate of food. ]

[ Ah, so they probably lie about what they hate... ]

How unfortunate, seeing and smelling your favorite foods but never getting to eat them.

[ But it sounds about right for Hell, so.

He watches Luci eat the food, mildly interested in seeing a cat creature hold up a plate and eat right off of it. ]

Tw talk of starvation whilst eating

Yeah, well that's what you get for letting other people starve to death while you gorge yourself on lardcakes.

[ Spoken gleefully... as he downs a couple mouthfuls. Slowing down, he sets the plate down and picks up a more manageable handful to eat out of. ]

They invent spoons yet where you're from?

Of course they have!

[ He wonders what point of time Luci thinks he's from... ]

You know, that does sound like a fitting punishment. Quite a bit of irony.

[ Luci holds his free hand out, making a grabbing motion. Spoon. ]

So you do get it.

[ The torture, he means.

Munch, crunch, he sits next to his plate. He's gotten this same meal made for him from two different people heh heh heh. ]

You should cook this every day.

[partymagician]

[ Fai gets a spoon out from one of the drawers and hands it over. ]

Is that a suggestion for me to cook this every day for you?

You like cooking, right? So, I'm giving you something to do.

[ So... yes. Luci sounds happily pushy about it, as if he's being nice. An attempt is made?

Luci uses the spoon properly, almost like he'd missed having one. He's taking whole bites now though. Besides, it was fun smashing the eggs... ]

I can do it every once in a while... I'm already getting coffee and whatnot for Hien in the mornings.

[ He doesn't know if he could handle more on top of that. ]

[totalcatastrophe]

[ Luci does some mock thinking, complete with a Hmm. ]

Fiine, I think I can schedule you in.

[partymagician]

[ He laughs. ]

How does once a week sound, then?

[ Luci licks his hand clean. ]

I get to hitch a ride too, then it's a deal.

[ Luckily, he won't push the unsaid 'on all fours like a horse' part of that. But he already plans to at least try to convince Fai the first time and they havent even finalized anything. ]
