3.0 - week three

WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

( OOC Note: Luci, Mutsu, and Mae will each receive a small roomba! Congrats on the successful egg drop. It's a tiny little friend that cleans extra well, though this also means its trash compartment is a little smaller so it'll need to be cleaned more often. )

That's the plan! I'll catch a steam boat and see the world.

But I heard in modern times, people use aeroplanes to fly in the sky like birds.

They do! They also use these big metal boxes called "cars"!

[ Fai's excited to talk about them... ]

In one world I visited, we had flying cars.

Horseless carriages!

(Which is his way of saying he understands what Fai is saying.)

But I've never seen a flying one!? What was it like?

[partymagician]

It was a lot of fun! You get to loop around like this— [ He moves his hands in a loop-de-loop. ] And you can fly straight up!

[tosa]

I wonder if Souji-san can do something like that.

(Mr. Souji. Souji-san. However the translation works ok. But can Roombas do loop de loops.)

[partymagician]

Souji-san?

[ He doesn't remember anyone like that on the profiles!! ]

[tosa]

Souji-san! He's a li'l machine with wheels and he cleans! Like a cleaning turtle!

(Please appreciate his descriptions.)

[ He loves them. Fai thinks Mutsu is absolutely adorable. ]

A cleaning turtle! I'd love to see him!

[tosa]

I'll introduce ya when we get back to our rooms. I bet he'll be all rested up by the time we get back!

(Because even machines need to rest.)

[partymagician]

I can’t wait.

[ He’s genuinely excited, even if he doesn’t expect a real turtle or anything. ]

Did you check out any of the art here?

[tosa]

Nah. I saw a li'l but I was thinking of checking it out next.

(Kind of vague hand motioning at the bones,)

Got distracted.

These displays are quite distracting, after all!

[ He laughs. ]

The art is nice if you're a fan of that sort of thing.

[tosa]

Yeah? Wanna go check 'em out with me? I'm not much of an art guy... I could use a good eye!

[partymagician]

I’d like that!

[ He smiles softly. ]

I don’t know that I’m really an art guy either, but I do enjoy looking at it.
