3.0 - week three

WEEK THREE

Last night might have been exhausting for any number of reasons - maybe it was the emotional

toll of dealing with those ghosts, or maybe you stayed up too late after watching Jim Shrok. Who knows, but Saturday is over, even if some of you haven’t quite left it behind and half spirits that are still hanging on, tethered to you and weighing you down…

But that’s not going to stop a new week from starting. There’s no breaks in an eight week course.

There’s very little fanfare to the start of your third week of the course, though it does seem like the fog has lifted even more. It’s a bit more of a trek down the abandoned streets of Estelline, but surely a mile is walkable? Or you could grab a bike or try to hotwire one of those cars in the mall parking lot… Whatever you plan to do this week is up to you. All you know is you've got some new locations to explore.

It's a little like a memorial, now that I think about it.

... Museums that I know of that host stuff like this were usually made by dead people by then.

But museums can be fun too. There's a physics-based one I went. It was pretty cool—you could see optical illusions and see magical things without it being magical.

(He taps his chin, thinking,)

The one I stayed at usually was all about celebrating history. All of it's real old but I always felt like it was just kinda... "neat." Like "look at how far we've come" since a few old swords and guns.

Everyone always liked seein' those even if ya couldn't touch 'em or anything.

People are easily fascinated.

[ Mutsu stayed at a museum, huh? He makes it sound like he lived there, but Hien feels like he can understand.

That reminds him. He digs thro8gh his pocket and pulls out the gun, handing it over to Mutsu, with the grip side towards him. ]

(If anything, that's one of the things that makes people amazing. But ah, he lights up--)

Smith-san! Yeah! (He's going to reach out to take it and just....... twirl it around his finger because what is gun safety.) So you got it?

[ Hien also twirled the gun to make sure it wasn't loaded, so yeah. Otherworlders are like what's gun safety?? ]

Yeah, I got it from Cater. It was really useful.

I told Cater that if he somehow gets bullets later, he should just flush them down the toilet.

(Sometimes you show off your gun and accidentally shoot through two walls and miss a friend. It's fine.)

It usually fills itself.

(I'm just saying bc we never see him actually putting bullets in his gun in canon ever as far as I remember so??? Maybe?? Spirit bullets??)

It's also a lot sturdier than I thought too. I pistol whipped glass with it.

I only had a rock otherwise and I actually know how to pistol whip something effectively.

I'm surprised you're not mad.

[ Since people are super protective over the things they name... like cars, weapons, etc. ]

Yeah? It's not like ya damaged it and ya gave it back so... the way I see it, there's no point in getting angry.

(He'll put his gun away for now! Tuck it in his belt or something,)

But you should be careful, 'specially with weapons.

Mutsu, you're literally some kind of spirit that probably lives in a sword who possesses guns. I don't believe that for a second.

[ Your existence screams weaponry!!! ]

It's true! I've never hurt anyone ever!

[ So Mutsu was some kind of worker... and never hurt humans. Hm. ]
