02 - week two

WEEK TWO

When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.

Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.

Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.

Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.

Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.

Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.

OOC NOTE

OOC: Anyone who performed in the Pep Rally (Sabo, Madara, Riku, Shizuku, Herlock, Idia, Flat, Miach) task will be able to redeem a voucher for a prize with one of the NPCs. This can be handwaved, and the prize selection is below.

-Single-serve coffee machine wither a selection of creamer. Comes with packs of coffee beans.
-Popcorn maker and kernels.
-High-quality tea kettle with a selection of just as high-quality tea.
-Carbonation machine (think Sodastream, etc) with flavored syrup.

Any coffee, tea, popcorn, etc. will last characters up to two weeks.

Anyone who participated in the Bulletin Board task will receive a voucher for your choice of two pairs colorful socks with cute animal designs. (Worry frog design available.)

he'll casually hold out a chip to ace to eat. notably these are spicy chips. ]

Dinner will be whenever you get hungry.

We'll see when that ends up being.

[ as he should, and i suppose this also means that sabo will alternate who is eating a chip. one for him...one for ace... etc etc ]

I'm not taking any bets this time around. Now, I'm just curious.

[ hopefully neither of them will want a drink any time soon... he didn't come that prepared. ]

Other than seeing what you'll be aiming for. [ squints to look at a small black cat keychain with an expression that can only be described as "smug". ] I think that one reminds me of you.

Then let's see how lucky that cat is.

[ maybe it just needed to be pointed out, something to aim for, but after a couple more tries, he actually manages to snag the keychain. luck (or skill??) is finally on his side! ]

you know, there's a feeling of both pride and also extreme jealously for how ace just manages to win the exact keychain that sabo pointed out to him just barely moments after. like. how is that fair.

and like a good winner, he will just shoves some chips in ace's face. ]

[ luckily, ace has chipmunk cheeks and the chips don't choke him as he's also trying to laugh from sabo's reaction to it. after chewing and swallowing the mouthful, he leans down to snag up the keychain.

he shoves it at sabo with a grin. ]

You can keep it. Since it reminds you of me.

[ yes, sabo will indeed take hold of the cat keychain and hold it in his hand carefully. he will also do his best not to pout. absolutely no pouts are allowed here. ace already has enough ammo to laugh at him about and sabo doesn't need to give him any more. ]

How thoughtful of you.

Just spoiling my brother a little.

[ or to show off what he won? probably both. but it was cute that sabo thought of ace when he saw the keychain, so there's no reason not to give it as a present in return for the comment. ]

[ he wants to roll his eyes at that because that sure isn't the case. or, well, if it is then it's a terrible way to go about it. after carefully pocketing the keychain into his coat, he'll stand before the claw machine again. ]

Guess this mean it's my turn again.

[ he doesn't know what he's aiming at but it isn't a bad start... ]

[ if there's leftover snacks, ace will take over the chip duty. but otherwise, he's going to be watching sabo at work. ]

[ he could be a shit and say he's hungry now, but he'll play fair ... for the moment. ]

[ there will be and if ace wants to be a shit then he might as well save sabo from some level of embarrassment because as soon as he gets anywhere the claw just decides to drop limply into the stuffed toys and keychains all of the sudden.

sabo's voice is strained as he replies. ]

[ actually, maybe this is fun watching sabo suffer. he will let it draw out for a while longer and just grins at this. ]

and what do you know? sabo's next attempt goes poorly with it wriggling wildly and flopping again into the pile. ]

[ it's hard not to gloat when he managed to get it eventually, but he does settle in with just a grin for now. not a word! (but we'll see how long that lasts.) ]

[ given that the next roll was a 19!!! it will go really well!!

sure he might have been aiming for another smug looking cat for ace to have for reasons, but instead the claw will end up picking up a yellow rabbit with a white bowtie and a pleasant smile.

[ in this thread at least. sabo might have destroyed one in another but we're not talking about that right now. but if ace is going to poke at it, then sabo will just hand it over. ]
