02 - week two

WEEK TWO

When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.

Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.

Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.

Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.

Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.

Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.

OOC NOTE

OOC: Anyone who performed in the Pep Rally (Sabo, Madara, Riku, Shizuku, Herlock, Idia, Flat, Miach) task will be able to redeem a voucher for a prize with one of the NPCs. This can be handwaved, and the prize selection is below.

-Single-serve coffee machine wither a selection of creamer. Comes with packs of coffee beans.
-Popcorn maker and kernels.
-High-quality tea kettle with a selection of just as high-quality tea.
-Carbonation machine (think Sodastream, etc) with flavored syrup.

Any coffee, tea, popcorn, etc. will last characters up to two weeks.

Anyone who participated in the Bulletin Board task will receive a voucher for your choice of two pairs colorful socks with cute animal designs. (Worry frog design available.)

[ There's something of a light chuckle before Kawase responds, though he's apparently not rude enough to ignore someone at least. ]

The curriculum is lacking, and I have no interest or need to learn whatever they're trying to teach us. Tamamori-kun and I have been friends since childhood, so I don't see what the point of testing us is. Anything that came about would be a result of our history and relationship, and nothing else.

[ Rude!! But...not as rude as he could've been, he supposes. ]

It looks like we have some similar thoughts on the matter. Chongyun has been a dear friend of mine for quite awhile now, after all. And I have no interest in learning any lessons taught by any of our kidnappers.

[ He has a pleasant attitude, and will keep displaying as such, but it doesn't mean he's forgotten their position. Nope, no siree. ]

Speaking of the lacking curriculum, I do wonder what their true, ulterior motive is in all this. It seems way too farfetched to believe we are here for normal schooling.

Of course not. I don't think even Tamamori-kun believed that, and he's an idiot. [ Affectionate (?) ]

I spoke with Lorelei, but she wasn't receptive to being interrogated herself. Something about how she has morality and ethics, despite what I think of her.

[ Xingqiu can only let out a small laugh at that. Maybe he can tell that by tone the other male isn't speaking of his companion in a true, malicious fashion. ]

Hmm. Interesting that was her response when you had interrogated her so.

Why else would she suddenly say such things other than it being an indication of the exact opposite—and of course, a guilty conscience?

[ Not that he seems to think positively of her if she had one, because to rectify the kidnapped situation would be a better way to prove that she truly has the morality and ethics she states that she has. It's a little insulting to him that she would proclaim as such, honestly, even if the situation could be worse... ]

Ah, well, she was irritated with me after I called her out for her proclivities. It's as plain as day that she gets off on this, one way or another.

...Well, I'll have to say that is an interesting way of putting things.

No wonder she protested against it so much.

It's as likely a reason as any. If you're going to kidnap someone, you should be prepared for what your victims think of you.
