02 - week two
WEEK TWO
When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.
Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.
Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.
Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.
Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.
Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.
SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY
TASK LIST
CLUMSINESS AFFECT DETAILS (BEGINS TUESDAY ICLY)
W2 CYOA SIGNUPS
CYOA Signups for Week 2 close Sunday, May 29th at 6pm EST.

W3 CYOA SIGNUPS
CYOA Signups for Week 3 close Friday, June 3rd at 6pm EST.

However, if the situation here worsens, I'm certain Mr. Nouzen will handle it better than most.
[He doesn't go into detail because, hey, curiously enough, despite his eccentricities and general inconsiderate behavior, something Sholmes isn't is being a tattletale. If anything he's excellent at keeping other people's secrets]
no subject
Not that there's anything bad about it. ]
Right. You sound fond of him too.
no subject
Every conversation with him has been fruitful! And he spared us from suffering a shock during the bomb incident. Who wouldn't be?
[Sholmes shrugs]
Try to talk to him as often as you can, won't you? Some socialization in this place should be good for him.

[ ...
Hm. ]
Was this car in good condition before you started dismantling it?
no subject
[Sholmes, I don't think that's his face, I think that's a consequence of being with you. Also he doesn't do that, if anything they get along, haha
The question about the car gets Sholmes to stop messing with the engine, he at least having enough presence of mind not to smear grease all over himself when he speaks]
It was in good condition. The engine wasn't working, but I believe if it can be ignited the car will work properly.
no subject
They usually have a key that turns the ignition on...
[ Is this a time gap thing?? ]
I wish Shin could be a little more open about trying some things. You should have seen his face when I suggested that he try sheet masks for his face.
no subject
[And despite everything Sholmes can do, messing with the wires to turn on the car and all probably wouldn't happen quickly. He'd need time, and given there's no place to go...yeah, he probably should focus on other stuff, he figured]
Give him time. There's a possibility he won't ever open to trying more things. [Sholmes shrugs and dives back into the engine, still disarming it] But familiarity is a powerful trap, my good fellow. As reticent as he may be, being used to getting asked to join in all kinds of situations could get him to decide to join.
[He hopes so, at least. In his opinion, dealing with Shin is something that needs a lot of patience. He's not difficult, but his personality is not welcoming]

[ Hien has already thought about doing that, but he wonders if he'd just get easier to ignore no matter what he did. ]
I just think it would be nice if he could have a little fun like the others. There are many kids who grew up too fast, after all--and only one life to live it out. Life's generally too short (for humans) to be unhappy about it.
no subject
[But hey, maybe pestering him will do the trick, you never know]
no subject
[ Hien, unfortunately, can't find himself doing that right now. ]
Ah, by the way. Did Fai show you the recording of the pep rally? Your performance was really good.
