02 - week two

WEEK TWO

When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.

Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.

Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.

Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.

Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.

Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.

OOC NOTE

OOC: Anyone who performed in the Pep Rally (Sabo, Madara, Riku, Shizuku, Herlock, Idia, Flat, Miach) task will be able to redeem a voucher for a prize with one of the NPCs. This can be handwaved, and the prize selection is below.

-Single-serve coffee machine wither a selection of creamer. Comes with packs of coffee beans.
-Popcorn maker and kernels.
-High-quality tea kettle with a selection of just as high-quality tea.
-Carbonation machine (think Sodastream, etc) with flavored syrup.

Any coffee, tea, popcorn, etc. will last characters up to two weeks.

Anyone who participated in the Bulletin Board task will receive a voucher for your choice of two pairs colorful socks with cute animal designs. (Worry frog design available.)

Well, that's not the wrong way to think of things. Even if someone doesn't care about their partner, they should at least want to avoid destroying an egg of themselves.

(He sure has. And for now, there is no hat because I wasn't sure but don't worry he'll get his hat eventually.)

Yeah, that's what I think. But I'm hoping no one here'd wanna hurt anyone. We all got enough goin' on without turning on each other, y'know?

[ flat has corrected this and given the saboiled a lovely top hat ;w; which is fine bc sabo wouldn't have his top hat with him anyway. ]

Fortunately from the sound of things I don't think any of us want to go around hurting one another or the people we're attached to. So, let's hope that it stays that way.

[ now as for the egg that is started to look like someone familiar to him... ]

Let me guess... This is supposed to be Ace?

(Nods,)

Yeah, everyone here seems like they've got good heads on their shoulders.

(Ah!)

[ if allowed, he will like to pick up ace eggy and examine it closer. ]

Yeah, well, it's not like many people have freckles on their face.

[tosa]

Gotta point there. (Yeah, that does make it obvious,) Everyone's got something here that makes 'em stand out a li'l, though.

I think its kinda nice... all of these interesting people from all over in one place.

[vivens]

Especially in this group. There are at least a few features here and there that are especially noteworthy.

[ good head on everyone's shoulders and something that stands out about each one of them... truly an interesting lot of people here. ]

Are you used to meeting different kinds of people, Mutsuyoshi?

[ because the name on the profile is too long and why not just combine the two names like so?? ]

You can call me Mu!

(Actually Mukkun... Mucchan. Mu-san. That's what everyone else calls him. Pick your flavor.)

Hm.... these days, I've been meeting a lotta new people but I guess you could say I'm meeting a lotta old people too.

(Because he's a time traveler... got it?)

Never met anyone from another world before. That's a real new one.

[vivens]

Okay; Mu it is.

[ he'll nod. that's still a lot easier to say than his full name. also, sadly sabo does not get it in the terms of time traveling but he is still amused one way or another. ]

It's a new one for me, too. I know there's a saying about meeting people in such a different culture and climate than what you're used to that it can seem like another world but this is actually it.

[ can he add the red dots on the egg for ace's necklace? ]

Kind of wish it was on our terms.

[tosa]

(Yes, he can do the little red dots. He can take the red marker!! Or hot glue some red pom poms or something. )

Hmm... 've always wanted to travel the world and meet people from other places. (He was made in Japan, has stayed in Japan, and will always be there. At least, he'll be there as long as he's needed. Maybe after he's fulfilled his purpose he'll be able to wander around freely. He doesn't know! But he'd like to dream.) But... since ya can't always control what happens, the best thing to do is just go with the tide.

[vivens]

[ he might end up doing both, but for the moment it will be red dots drawn on with marker. ]

Is it?

[ sabo will have to think on that for a moment as he quietly admires the ace egg. he's not exactly lost in thought but it's kind of funny to he holding ace (in eggy form) while saying this stuff. ]

I'm used to going against the tide. I never could fit in with certain crowds of people because I've always wanted to know freedom.

[tosa]

Well... it all depends on which way the tide's going, right?

(He gets it, though.)

Just 'cause everyone's goin' one way and you're goin' another, that doesn't mean you're goin' the wrong way. Just means everyone else is gonna have some catching up to do.

[vivens]

[ that has him chuckling. he likes the metaphor a great deal for many different reasons. ]

A matter of perspective.

[ he'll put the ace egg down for a moment and cross his arms. ]

If you ask me, I'd think that people should catch up to where I'm standing even if it might be a little difficult at first. At least, in regards to my world. I won't speak for anyone else's.

[tosa]

Nah, it's the same back home, too! (He nods!!!) Buuuuut...

(HIS EYES SHINE. He's definitely thinking of someone. Or someones. A bunch of people he menaces, even.)

Some people have a harder time keepin' up with me.

[vivens]

[ oh. sabo is not a stranger to that look in mutsu's eyes and sabo gives him a wide grin. he comes off as someone rather pleasant, hopefully, but when there's time to morph into a gremlin... well. ]

Oh?

Is that you offering yourself as a challenge?

[tosa]

Only if ya can't keep up! If ya can, 's better to work together, don't ya think?

[vivens]

I don't think I'll have an issue of keeping up.

[ a laugh. ]

And you do have a point with that even though I would say that there's still nothing wrong with a few friendly, good-willed challenges with one another.

[tosa]

True. Ya can't get along with everyone. You're gonna meet a guy or five that don't see eye to eye with ya.

(Yeah, definitely 5.)

A li'l bit of arguing here and there's good. If ya surround yourself with people that're just like ya, ya'll just stay the same forever. What d'ya say, wanna go at it with me some time?

(He raises his fists!!! And punches at the air,)

It'll be good medicine.

[vivens]

As long as those squabbles don't end up causing too much trouble, I have no complaints. I have a lot trust with my commanders to not start any trouble that they can't get themselves out of.

[ and sabo's going to laugh as response to mutsu's fistycuffs. oh, he's more than fine with this. he places a hand on his hip in response but looks no less ready for whatever's to come. ]

I'm more than fine with a nice friendly "go" whenever you think would be great to. Ace can suck it up for whatever ends up happening.

[ not that sabo thinks he'll end up getting beaten up badly or anything but you never know. he's a competitive person and sometimes you accidentally go all out on a friendly spar even if you don't mean to. ]
