02 - week two

WEEK TWO

When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.

Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.

Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.

Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.

Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.

Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.

OOC NOTE

OOC: Anyone who performed in the Pep Rally (Sabo, Madara, Riku, Shizuku, Herlock, Idia, Flat, Miach) task will be able to redeem a voucher for a prize with one of the NPCs. This can be handwaved, and the prize selection is below.

-Single-serve coffee machine wither a selection of creamer. Comes with packs of coffee beans.
-Popcorn maker and kernels.
-High-quality tea kettle with a selection of just as high-quality tea.
-Carbonation machine (think Sodastream, etc) with flavored syrup.

Any coffee, tea, popcorn, etc. will last characters up to two weeks.

Anyone who participated in the Bulletin Board task will receive a voucher for your choice of two pairs colorful socks with cute animal designs. (Worry frog design available.)

But when Cater comes in, Hien pokes his head out of the blanket. He resembles a teru teru bozu like this on the bed. You can't even see his neck with how he covered himself. ]

Keep tripping and shit. Also got a killer hangover. Thanks for coming though. I'm usually not clumsy...

[Anyway, there are no further messages, because Cater's on a fetch quest. And, yeah, he's way clumsier than he usually is, for some reason?

For now, he chalks it up to being tired, because... what else could it be?]

Which, I don't recommend. There's a horrible feedback loop of hangover pain between us right now.

[Carefully stepping into the room, in some effort to not trip over something... and doing a rather decent job of it, at least until he's close to Hien's bed, where the unfortunate clumsiness strikes once more.

So he ends up pitching forward and faceplanting rather ungracefully half on the bed and half on the floor. Just. Give him a second to stay there, the humiliation is... annoying? Annoying.

Still going to set the water bottle and meds on the bed next to him, though, hopefully in easy reach for Hien.]

[ Hien hovers over Cater, which makes him look dumber as a single head with blanket. ]

Maybe you need these painkillers too.

[Luckily(?) enough for Hien, he's not looking up just yet to see the hovering head in a blanket. Just. give him a second to wallow in his shame, okay?]

Since you brought a bunch, you should take some too. That can't be good for you and your partner.

[And he'll just chalk this up as revenge for Idia's initial faceplant on the floor that taught them about the pain sharing in the first place.

Regardless, he will shift to just kind of. Turn over. And sit on the floor, leaning back against Hien's bed, for now.]

Haaaa... Cay came to take care of you, and now you're taking care of him...

[ He even lightly pats his head, careful not to ruin his hair. His other hand grabs the painkillers and water and hands them to Cater. ]

[ He wants to be the responsible one now. ]

[Oh, hey, a headpat... that's kind of nice... he even leans into it a little bit, too - it's not like his hair would be difficult to fix, and it's probably a little messed up from the faceplant, anyway...

But he's also not going to just go ahead and ask for more, either. He's not a little kid...!]

[So, yeah, he'll go ahead and go first, if Hien is insisting on being the responsible one, before handing them right back.]

[ He didn't expect Cater to actually lean into it, but now that Hien sees that, there's something like a small, fond smile on his face. He know most people won't want to ask, so he just keeps petting him a little longer before taking the water bottle and medicine. ]

[ He easily downs the medicine and drinks the water so that it goes down well. That feels refreshing. ]

The texture of your hair is pretty good. Do you have hair care tips?

[The petting was nice - to the point where even when Hien stops, he stays right where he'd been. Sure, maybe some part of him was hoping that it would just be easy for him to go back to it, but.

Still not asking. That's totally too sad and desperate.]

Hair care tips? Hm... Well, that'd super depend on what's available to use and your hair type... You could totally have way cute soft fluffy hair if you treated it right, so next time Cay's out at the cosmetic store, he'll grab something that he thinks will work for you~
