02 - week two

WEEK TWO

When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.

Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.

Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.

Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.

Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.

Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.

OOC NOTE

OOC: Anyone who performed in the Pep Rally (Sabo, Madara, Riku, Shizuku, Herlock, Idia, Flat, Miach) task will be able to redeem a voucher for a prize with one of the NPCs. This can be handwaved, and the prize selection is below.

-Single-serve coffee machine wither a selection of creamer. Comes with packs of coffee beans.
-Popcorn maker and kernels.
-High-quality tea kettle with a selection of just as high-quality tea.
-Carbonation machine (think Sodastream, etc) with flavored syrup.

Any coffee, tea, popcorn, etc. will last characters up to two weeks.

Anyone who participated in the Bulletin Board task will receive a voucher for your choice of two pairs colorful socks with cute animal designs. (Worry frog design available.)

[ Well, the ones he's used to aren't exactly like these, but close enough! Also, Luci's made no attempt to announce his presence before speaking, suddenly at Xingqiu's side to answer the question. ]

[ Okay, it looks like it's Xingqiu's turn to be surprised! You know, he hasn't really gotten a chance to speak with every single person here, but...

...'in hell'. Really?

Xingqiu supposes that they have quite a selection of folks here. ]

You sound as if you're speaking from personal experience.

[ But! He does get on the machine and gives it a try. ]

Nah, I was the guy whipping them all to go faster. Bunch of whiners.

[ Totally nonchalant, eye still settled on the whirring treadmill, ears perked up. ]

You know, gyms are all about suffering too. Just the voluntary kind.

You know, Xingqiu is trying very hard to believe this but he supposes even he has his limits. ]

You sound like you live an interesting life. May I ask what you are, exactly? Not to be rude, but you're clearly not a human.

[ Anyway he is jogging at a leisurely pace as they speak... ]

Well, that is one way to look at it. But, it seems more than that too. Just 'suffering', that is.

Yeah? What was the first clue?

[ The sarcasm comes naturally to the one eyed wonder as he clamors up on the machine, letting his little legs dangle off the side. Good thing he's light. ]

I'm a demon, obviously. So, are your legs suffering yet? Or is there more to it?

[ His tail flicks, hitting the machine. Really, he's guessing at what might increase the speed just a bit. ]

Hmm, well. You did look kind of ominously-shaped, but assuming is certainly not the best of ideas.

[ Xingqiu is still running but hasn't quite broken a sweat. He has just started, after all! ]

You be careful about sitting where you are. Demon or not, falling hard is likely to be at least a little troublesome.

[ He is still leery about speaking to a supposed demon, but...well, nothing to be done about it. ]

I've just begun running so it'll at least take some time before I begin to tire, if that is what you mean. There appears to be odd buttons on here, but I'm not too familiar with the technology to play around with it.

[ Luci makes a dismissive sound at the warning, rolling his eye. Incongruously, his voice turns strangely polite after that. ]

Well, guess that means we have time to figure out all the buttons.

[ Said as his hand joins in, pressing more buttons without caution and watching Xingqiu. What do they do? Luci has no idea. ]
