02 - week two

WEEK TWO

When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.

Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.

Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.

Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.

Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.

Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.

OOC NOTE

OOC: Anyone who performed in the Pep Rally (Sabo, Madara, Riku, Shizuku, Herlock, Idia, Flat, Miach) task will be able to redeem a voucher for a prize with one of the NPCs. This can be handwaved, and the prize selection is below.

-Single-serve coffee machine wither a selection of creamer. Comes with packs of coffee beans.
-Popcorn maker and kernels.
-High-quality tea kettle with a selection of just as high-quality tea.
-Carbonation machine (think Sodastream, etc) with flavored syrup.

Any coffee, tea, popcorn, etc. will last characters up to two weeks.

Anyone who participated in the Bulletin Board task will receive a voucher for your choice of two pairs colorful socks with cute animal designs. (Worry frog design available.)

[ egg's up, indeed! sabo will take a step away from the egg as it makes its way down to hit the mattress. he's not about to catch the egg and he's not going to ask why the mattress is covered with stab holes.

they have only been here for like. a week??? either way, splat goes the egg and sabo makes a face. ]

It looks like you might need a bit more planning on how you drop the egg.

Yeah, but this is more fun.

[ Have another fast ballegg. He's not really even trying to keep up the pretense of aiming for the mattress. Unless asked. ]

Got any brighter ideas, chump?

though that said, sabo will casually dodge the egg that gets thrown at him. he won't call the gremlin out for how it suspiciously looks like it's being thrown at him than the mattress just yet. ]

You could always chill the egg. It shouldn't crack when you drop it then.

Really? Wow, thanks eggstientist.

[ That's not a typo.

Suddenly, Luci looks away into the distance behind his target, eye wide as he freezes in place. His tail, unseen from the ground, slithers to wrap around another egg.

You see where this is going, probably even before he innocently, earnestly asks-- ]

Hey, is that a way home?

[vivens]

[ egg...what? you know, sabo isn't going to sweat it and just going to ride with it. though nice try luci??? someone like him is definitely not going to fall for such a trick, especially since it would be something he'd do when he was younger. ]

Nice try.

[ try throwing the egg at him. dare you. ]

I seriously doubt that a way home just opened up just like that.

Suit yourself, skullcrusher. You just missed your one chance to get out of here.

[ Luci knows a lost cause when he sees it, but he still sounds sincere. And he'll still take that lie to his eternal damnation.

Time for plan b. His tail, egg gingerly secured in a loop, waves it in the air without releasing it. ]

Scared you can't catch it?

[vivens]

[ he'll give a shrug. it's not like he'd want to leave after getting a few more things squared away. ...namely things involving his partner but that's neither here or there. ]

I'm not scared that I can't catch it. It's all whenever you decide you want to throw it.

[ bring it little demon man. ]

[ His tail waves around in the air slowly a beat before launching its cargo towards Sabo. That throw is followed up in quick succession by another egg from his free hand.

His eye shows no remorse for his actions. Does this count as cheating? ]

[ unsure if this is cheating or not but sabo can respect it.

the dice bot has decided that thanks to the nerf that sabo got when arriving, he will be hit by the second egg as he easily dodges the first one. emphasis on dodging because he did sort of see something like that happening. but rest in pieces his normal excellent reaction speed.

he's not exactly thrilled to have egg on his face, quite literally, but he sort of also brought this upon himself. ]

I see that's the kind of game you're willing to play.

[ IF ONLY HE HAD SOMETHING TO TOSS BACK?? ]

[ Luci lets loose a string of heh heh heh upon eggy impact. He got that all on video, yes he did. ]

Yeah, man, you asked for it. [ almost unable to contain his laughs as he takes more photos. ] You should see your face!

[ For the record... I never care if he wins but Luci will cheat, lie, and steal to avoid it. Sorry about that, skullcrusher. ]

[ laugh it up little demon man while you have the higher ground and sabo isn't going to shy away from the photos. he still has his pride even if his face is covered in egg.

and no problem! sabo can play dirty too, but he's still a fairly stand-up kind of person. ]

How long do you plan to stay up there?

Why? You planning to make me lunch?

[ Oh, he will enjoy this upper ground while he's got it. But he isn't scared even if maybe he should be. Sabo seems fun. ]

Sure, I could make something. I'm not too bad at making rice omelettes.

[ it's okay, he doesn't have to be afraid of sabo for it to matter. they're just here to have some nice casual banter. ]

I'll take it. Keep the shells in it.

[ Luci sounds more like he's ordering at a restaurant now. One of these times, he might actually make himself sick with those shells, but for now the crunch is nice and it bothers everyone else. Win/win.

He still hasn't answered the question. ]

Unconventional request, but not something I can't comply with.

[ unflappable as ever. luci might not have answered sabo's question but as far as sabo is concerned, as soon as food has been made someone is going to have to move closer one way or another. ]

You'll have to come down when I finish making it.

[ ... Does he though?
As he says it dryly, he idly holds up another egg. ]

Need more eggs?

The recipe calls for two eggs, so if you have a few to spare.

[ he sure does say. ]

[ Toss, toss, one egg after another. He sure does start tossing them on the heels of that last word. ]

[vivens]

[ okay, well.

again, sabo can't get angry with things that he has asked for. but this time he's ready and so when the eggs come flying at him he'll be poised to catch them. now, whether or not they actually survive is another story.

the first egg he catches with ease and manages to store it into his coat just in time to catch the second egg. or. well. ""catch"" the egg (because dice bot will always favor sabo failing a second roll APPARENTLY)...... which really means he'll completely crush the egg with his hand with a fair amount of the eggy bits splattering on his face.

yet, even if there's (even more) egg on his face, sabo will just continue to be cool about it. it's just egg on his face or something iguess. ]

Looks like I'm still needing another egg.

[ Luci Ha's at that crushed egg, already tossing another one before Sabo finishes his sentence. ]

[ BECAUSE DICE BOT DIDN'T SCREW ME OVER—sabo will catch this egg like the first one...except it does sort of fumble in his hands for a moment. gotta love the eggy remains playing into all of this for him.

though the question now is how many eggs left does luci have in comparison to the two eggs that sabo has. two eggs that are sitting comfy inside of his coat pocket. ]

Are you going to be satisfied with a just two egg rice omelette? No requests for an upgrade?

[totalcatastrophe]

Yeah? Like what?

[ Asked with a hand on his chin. This hunger thing is getting complicated. ]

[vivens]

[ is it really that complicated? ]

Side dishes and anything else that's extra. I would have thought someone like you would be a bit more greedy.

Human food can be gross.

[ Said like it's that obvious. But Luci has lost interest. He falls back, hand waving dismissively. ]

Surprise me, omelette-dude.

Well, it looks like I quite a bit to prove to you then.

[ if luci thought he was going to throw the eggs back at him...he actually won't. he's going to go make luci that rice omelette like he promised, actually.
