02 - week two

WEEK TWO

When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.

Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.

Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.

Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.

Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.

Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.

OOC NOTE

OOC: Anyone who performed in the Pep Rally (Sabo, Madara, Riku, Shizuku, Herlock, Idia, Flat, Miach) task will be able to redeem a voucher for a prize with one of the NPCs. This can be handwaved, and the prize selection is below.

-Single-serve coffee machine wither a selection of creamer. Comes with packs of coffee beans.
-Popcorn maker and kernels.
-High-quality tea kettle with a selection of just as high-quality tea.
-Carbonation machine (think Sodastream, etc) with flavored syrup.

Any coffee, tea, popcorn, etc. will last characters up to two weeks.

Anyone who participated in the Bulletin Board task will receive a voucher for your choice of two pairs colorful socks with cute animal designs. (Worry frog design available.)

[So Cater had intended to be checking out the new space at large, but... the siren call of the arcade called to him, too (and the purikura machine just sitting there, temptingly, but he needed to drag someone in with him first...), but where Idia had gone to the prize counter, Cater had spent a decent amount of time in the crane games.

And now his hands were way too full with some friends that he's given up on exploring the rest of the new space today.

...At least until he spies Idia committing grand theft ticket.

Operation drape soft squishy plush cat over nerd roomie's head is a go.]

[Idia is trying to get an idea of how many tickets are what when suddenly there's a squish against his head. The blue flames part and flare up on either side of the kitty plush.]

S-Squish? [... wait, in no universe would this be tiddy, he's like 90% sure no tiddy feels like that]

[and 10% nerd with no point of reference besides tasteless mousepads]

[he peers up but just meets the vacant stare of kitty cat]

[Let's be real, even if it was a realistic tiddy feeling, none of the girls in-game have enough tiddy to squish on your sad little nerd head, Idia.

Anyway. Vacant kitty stare has been met, so clearly the next course of action is to just kind of. Wiggle it. So it's little paw pad can bap Idia in the face.]

Anyways, Cater's totally not scolding him, nope. It's the cute pink cat plush that's scolding him. Clearly.

Though maybe the fat, grumpy, rainbow dog would have been a better fit.]

What do you want so many tickets for anyway?

[Casually dropping the kitty voice as he pulls the plush back and peers at Idia's setup of wires and tickets and game. It's admittedly a little impressive, but also... again, no reason to actually win the tickets at all.]

There's a Gamestation 4 over there. For ten thousand tickets.

[... doesn't that say it all? I mean, obviously a Gamestation 5 would be even more impressive but they only made like sixteen of those.]

[Well, at least the pink cat hadn't actually made him feel guilty... getting that secondhand would have been weird and annoying over something that really didn't matter at all.]

[Cater blowing off the little spiteful comment might not have hurt, but - perhaps surprisingly - Idia's comment does sting, just a bit, for just a moment. A brief, sharp, needle-stick dropped in the middle of their conversation, gone as quickly as it came.]
