02 - week two

WEEK TWO

When the glitter settles and everyone returns to their dorms - or wherever they intend to sleep for the night, if you’re planning on sleeping at all - your first week of school officially ends. Perhaps it was better than you expected, perhaps it was worse.

Hopefully you learned a bit more about teamwork and school spirit.

Still, this course is going to run for longer than a full week, and come Sunday morning you’re still exactly as you were when you settled down for the night. Still in Estelline, still with that mark on your wrist, still connected to your partner. There are some changes, though. The bookstore has received quite a few books, and those of you who added to the bulletin board and pep rally tasks in the first week will find an envelope taped to their dorm door (or themselves, if they spent the night elsewhere). Inside of the envelope is some kind of voucher! Furthermore, the common area is covered in a bunch of glitter.

Also, there are a ton of eggs in the kitchen – at least 10 dozens.

Florence or Lorelei are still available, should you wish to speak to them.

Finally, you've got some new locations to explore.

OOC NOTE

OOC: Anyone who performed in the Pep Rally (Sabo, Madara, Riku, Shizuku, Herlock, Idia, Flat, Miach) task will be able to redeem a voucher for a prize with one of the NPCs. This can be handwaved, and the prize selection is below.

-Single-serve coffee machine wither a selection of creamer. Comes with packs of coffee beans.
-Popcorn maker and kernels.
-High-quality tea kettle with a selection of just as high-quality tea.
-Carbonation machine (think Sodastream, etc) with flavored syrup.

Any coffee, tea, popcorn, etc. will last characters up to two weeks.

Anyone who participated in the Bulletin Board task will receive a voucher for your choice of two pairs colorful socks with cute animal designs. (Worry frog design available.)

[ Fai stops, setting both of his bottles down on the ground so he can reach for Hien's free hand and bring it up to his face, his lips lightly brushing against his knuckles. ]

You're right. I probably can't, not when you have so much life experience.

So maybe you should rethink your options before I think that you're mocking me.

[ Fai drops his hand. ]

Clearly I'm the prince in this equation, Hien, considering I used to be one.

I guess I don't know how to charm you! What a difficult guy.

[ When they're next to a car, Hien stretches his arm out, slamming his hand onto the car like a kabedon. ]

More like you give up way too easily. Life experience will just be that—experience.

[ He raises his eyebrows out of surprise, but he doesn't seem to react much outside of that as he smiles at Hien. ]

Oh? But this boldness has to have come from somewhere, if not life experience.

If you think this is bold, then maybe you really are lacking in experience.

[ He withdraws his hand. ]

[ Fai grabs onto Hien's shirt and pulls him close again, using his fingers to slightly lift up his chin. ]

I meant bold for what I thought you were capable of.

[ With the way his fingers slightly lift his chin, he internally screams. Hey! What the fuck!! It's obvious that his face gets red, but he exaggerates movement to get his head away from Fai's hand. ]

Shut up. Making a mockery of me...

[ Hmph!! He starts walking ahead. ]

[ Oh. Jackpot. ]

So... that's what gets you?

[ And if it sounds like Fai is coming to some conclusions, well, that's because he is.

But he obediently picks up his bottles and follows. ]

[ He will not be answering questions. They will be denied. Goodbye.

[ Fai picks up his pace too, laughing when Hien ignores him. ]

You're so cute... especially when you blush.

[ It's an easy thing to say, and thanks to the alcohol in his system, he doesn't even think about it. ]

I'm not charmed...! Fuck.

[ That's probably the loudest Fai has ever heard him. ]

[ That makes him laugh out loud. Hien is so funny when he's had a lot to drink. ]

So what are you if you aren't charmed?

[ Despite how annoyed Hien sounds, Fai is welcome to note that there's no frustration nor anger from their link. ]

Annoyed.

[ He's not annoyed. ]

[partymagician]

No, you aren't. I'd feel it.

[ After all, he's felt those things from Hien before, even if those instances have been incredibly rare. ]

[ Hien stops, waiting for Fai to catch up. When he does, he attempts to slap his hand over Fai's mouth. STOP TALKING ]

[ Fai just licks his hand. That's what you get, Hien. ]

Gross...

[ He wipes his hand on Fai's cheek. ]

Can't believe you're my partner in all this, but I'd never switch you out.

[partymagician]

[ Ew! But it's his own spit... so whatever, he guesses.

That comment is almost too sincere for Fai, and so he tries to play it off as a joke. ]

Oh? Is it because I'm so cute?

[ After all, there are much better people here for Hien to be partnered with. ]

Yeah, you're the damn cutest here.

[ ... ]

But it's not just that. You're a good listener and feel empathy for me even though you try not to. You shove your comfort zone away to comfort me when I feel like shit. You sacrifice a lot of things for other people, but I wish you'd take care of yourself too.

Wow, you have a lot to say after just a week.

[ He takes a swig of his bottle because he really, really needs it. Those are good qualities, sure, but they're not good qualities on Fai. He makes them dirty, rotten. ]

I have so much more to say.

[ He stops walking and leans in to whisper into Fai's ear. ]
